Beeter (forearm) has been cleared to resume throwing off the mound, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Beeter was placed on the 15-day injured list a little over a week ago because of right forearm soreness. An MRI came back negative, and Beeter has taken a big step forward with his rehab with the resumption of mound work. It's unlikely he will be ready to return when eligible May 8, but he should be ready shortly thereafter. Beeter has essentially served as a co-closer with Gus Varland this season and should return to that role once he's deemed physically ready.

Garcia has been diagnosed with a minor sprain of his right hand/wrist, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

Garcia suffered the injury during Sunday's game against the Brewers, forcing his removal. The infielder said Tuesday that he's day-to-day and will not go on the injured list, but he's not in Tuesday's lineup versus the Twins and seems likely to miss additional games. Curtis Mead will receive an uptick in playing time at first base for the Nationals for as long as Garcia is shelved.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Monday that Betts (oblique) is on track to face live pitching in a simulated game Thursday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

If Betts experiences no setbacks with his strained right oblique during the upcoming workout, Roberts suggested that it could be the final step before the 33-year-old heads out on a rehab assignment. Because he's been on the shelf since April 5, Betts will likely need at least a couple of games in the minors to regain his timing at the plate. Once he's deemed ready to return from the 10-day injured list, Betts should settle back in as the Dodgers' everyday shortstop, resulting in Hyeseong Kim fading into more of a utility role.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Tuesday in a radio interview that "all things look good" for Misiorowski (hamstring) to make his next scheduled start Wednesday in St. Louis, Adam McCalvy of MLB.comreports.

Misiorowski exited his last start Friday against the Nationals with a right hamstring cramp. However, he reported feeling fine after the game and was able to throw his normal between-starts bullpen session Monday. Barring a setback, Misiorowski should be in line for a normal workload against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Woodruff traveled to Dallas on Tuesday to have his right shoulder examined by Dr. Keith Meister, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Woodruff went on the 15-day injured list last week with right shoulder inflammation after he had to exit his last outing when his fastball velocity sat in the mid-80s. The consensus seems to be that he's going through a "dead arm" phase, though it's an ominous sign that he's seeking out the opinion of Dr. Meister. The Brewers could have more information on Woodruff's status following Tuesday's exam.

Zerpa will undergo UCL reconstruction on his left elbow next week, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Zerpa went on the injured list last week, and after seeking multiple opinions, has made the decision to go under the knife. He will likely be sidelined until around midseason next year. Acquired from the Royals via trade over the offseason, Zerpa will finish the 2026 campaign with a 6.39 ERA and 8:6 K:BB over 12.2 innings. He'll be eligible for salary arbitration for a second time this winter.

Pratt didn't play Sunday in Triple-A Nashville's 5-1 win over Norfolk due to a sore foot, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

According to McCalvy, the foot issue is considered a minor concern and isn't expected to keep Pratt for long, so the 21-year-old infielder could avoid a stint on Nashville's 7-day injured list. Pratt signed an eight-year, $50.75 million contract extension with Milwaukee just over a month ago, but he's still waiting to make his MLB debut. He'll likely need to improve his production at Triple-A before getting the call to the majors; Pratt is slashing .226/.348/.323 (87 wRC+) with one home run and nine stolen bases over 113 plate appearances with Nashville thus far.

Yelich (groin) is expected to progress to facing live pitching and running the bases early next week, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The veteran slugger continues working his way back from a strained left groin, and he remains on track to return in mid-to-late May. Yelich was off to a strong start to the season prior to the injury with a homer, three steals, 10 RBI, 10 runs and a .314/.375/.451 slash line in 15 games.

Atlanta designated Carrasco for assignment Tuesday.

The veteran right-hander was designated for assignment by Atlanta in late April before re-signing a few days later and being added back to the big-league roster. Carrasco fired 1.1 scoreless innings Monday in Seattle and was unscored upon in his other appearance earlier this season, but he'll still lose his roster spot with Raisel Iglesias (shoulder) coming off the injured list.

Devenski's suspension for intentionally throwing at Sal Stewart during Saturday's game versus the Reds has been reduced to two games, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Devenski was initially suspended three games, but he's since agreed to a settlement and will begin serving his two-game ban Tuesday. He'll be eligible to return to the active roster for Thursday's series finale in Arizona.
