Sewald earned the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Reds, logging a strikeout and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Sewald has converted eight straight save chances while allowing just one run on four hits in his last 11 innings. He's up to 17 saves overall this season, tied for third-most in the National League, while posting a 3.08 ERA with a 0.72 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 26.1 innings.

Soriano said after Saturday's 8-0 win over the Rays that he experienced chest tightness and sore legs during his start, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune reports.

After turning in a 5.28 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over his previous eight starts, Soriano was much sharper Saturday, striking out five while scattering three hits and two walks over five scoreless frames. He tossed just 76 pitches, however, with the Angels electing to cut his start short on account of the pair of injuries, which stemmed from him getting hit on the right side of the chest by a 98-mph line drive off the bat of Jonathan Aranda in the first inning. Though he was initially able to stay in the game, Soriano noted that his chest became tight between innings, and his legs became more sore as he attempted to put less stress on his chest while pitching. Manager Kurt Suzuki suggested that Soriano's removal was precautionary, so at this stage, the right-hander is expected to be ready to go for his next turn through the rotation Thursday versus the Athletics in Sacramento.

Burleson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.

Burleson got the Cardinals on the board when he homered off Taj Bradley in the fourth inning. With a homer in five of his last six contests and an active 14-game hitting streak, Burleson is locked in. During the streak, he has gone 19-for-58 (.328) with 10 extra-base hits and 16 RBI. For the season, the slugger is up to 13 homers, 51 RBI, 39 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases while batting .287 with an .848 OPS through 68 games.

Wetherholt went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.

Wetherholt has gone 8-for-26 (.308) over seven games since returning from a brief absence due to groin soreness. The infielder played a big role in the Cardinals' offense Sunday, though it wasn't quite enough. He's now hitting .255 on the year while adding a .761 OPS, 10 homers, 31 RBI, 45 runs scored, seven doubles and seven stolen bases over 65 games.

Seager (ribs/jaw) is dealing with concussion symptoms, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Seager is set to be sidelined for a third consecutive game Sunday night against the Red Sox as he continues to recover from his collison with Carter Jensen at home plate Thursday. Manager Skip Schumaker outlined that the shortstop is experiencing "mild" concussion symptoms, so it's unclear how close he is to returning to the lineup. Ezequiel Duran is drawing the start at shortstop and batting fourth in Sunday night's series finale in Boston.

Abbott did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing a run on four hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Abbott was sharp Sunday, with the lone run he allowed coming on a Tommy Troy solo homer in the third inning. Abbott has held opponents to three runs or fewer while going at least five innings in each of his last nine starts, posting a 2.29 ERA in that span (51 innings). Overall, Abbott's ERA is down to 3.95 with a 1.41 WHIP and 58:36 K:BB across 15 starts (79.2 innings) this season. The southpaw is currently lined up to face the Yankees on the road in his next outing.

McGreevy allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over six innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Sunday.

McGreevy left the game with a lead, but JoJo Romero and George Soriano combined to let it slip away over the seventh and eighth innings. This was McGreevy's third quality start in a row, and he's allowed six runs over 18 innings with an 8:4 K:BB in June. Overall, he has a 2.99 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 51:19 K:BB through 78.1 innings over 14 starts. McGreevy never really showed much strikeout potential in his developmental years, but he continues to do fairly well at inducing groundballs and limiting walks. His next start is projected to be at Kansas City.

Buxton went 3-for-5 with a double and one RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals.

Buxton is hitting .357 (15-for-42) with five home runs, eight RBI and three doubles over 11 contests in June. The outfielder has logged multiple hits in four of his last five games to fuel the surge. On the year, he's up to a .276 batting average, a .936 OPS, 22 homers, 35 RBI, 47 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple and six stolen bases. As always, staying healthy is the biggest factor for Buxton, who can offer five-category upside when he does. He has dealt with some injury concerns this year, but nothing that's been bad enough to require a stint on the injured list yet.

Pratt was removed Sunday from Triple-A Nashville's game against Durham prior to the sixth inning and will be recalled prior to the Brewers' next game Tuesday against the Guardians, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The 21-year-old's eventual promotion to the majors seemed inevitable at some point in 2026, after he signed an eight-year, $50 million extension with Milwaukee in early April. Though Pratt has posted a modest .735 OPS at Triple-A this season, he's been running hot since mid-May, batting .281 with four home runs and six stolen bases while walking at a 10.1 percent clip over his last 25 games with Nashville. Pratt has played exclusively at shortstop since 2024, so the Brewers could have him displace Joey Ortiz (.561 OPS over 170 plate appearances on the season) as their primary option at the position.

Caratini went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals.

Caratini got the Twins on the board with a fourth-inning homer off Michael McGreevy. This was Caratini's second long ball in June, surpassing the number he had in all of May. The catcher is now hitting .215 with a .630 OPS, four homers, 25 RBI, 11 runs scored and five doubles over 53 contests this season. He'll continue to see a decent share of playing time at catcher while Ryan Jeffers (hand) is out.
