Triple-A Worcester reinstated Uberstine (shoulder) from its 7-day injured list Sunday.

Uberstine rejoins Worcester after he had been on the shelf for two months due to a sore right shoulder. The 27-year-old was activated after turning in a 5.14 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB in seven innings over four rehab appearances for High-A Greenville.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Sunday that Bubic underwent another MRI that showed nothing structurally wrong with his left elbow or shoulder, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

After being forced to the 15-day injured list May 18 due to a sore left elbow, Bubic made enough progress to gain clearance to head out on a rehab assignment. During his start Tuesday with Triple-A Omaha, Bubic experienced a shoulder issue, which was likely a contributing factor in him getting lit up for five earned runs on eight hits and one walk while recording just four outs. Fortunately, follow-up tests didn't reveal anything overly concerning, so the Royals were comfortable allowing Bubic to resume playing catch Sunday. Assuming he incurs no further setbacks during his throwing progression, Bubic could head back out on his rehab assignment at some point in the next week or two.

Gallen did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Reds, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Gallen was solid overall against Cincinnati, as he logged his first quality start since May 18 -- he struggled to a 6.97 ERA across 20.2 innings in four starts prior to Sunday. Overall, Gallen is 3-5 with a 5.35 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 50:23 K:BB across 15 starts (75.2 innings) this season. He's currently lined up to face the Twins at home his next time out.

Verlander (hip) is slated to throw a simulated game in Houston on Monday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

While Verlander's rehab assignment looks to be over after he built up to 5.2 innings and 86 pitches in his second start with Triple-A Toledo last Wednesday, the Tigers aren't yet ready to make room for him in the big-league rotation. The veteran righty will thus remain on the 60-day injured list for the time being, but he'll continue to stick on a five-day pitching schedule by throwing a sim game Monday. The Tigers will decide Verlander's next step following the sim game, and it's possible that he'll return from the IL and move back into the rotation during next weekend's series versus the White Sox.

Sewald earned the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Reds, logging a strikeout and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Sewald has converted eight straight save chances while allowing just one run on four hits in his last 11 innings. He's up to 17 saves overall this season, tied for third-most in the National League, while posting a 3.08 ERA with a 0.72 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 26.1 innings.

Soriano said after Saturday's 8-0 win over the Rays that he experienced chest tightness and sore legs during his start, Jack Janes of TheSportingTribune reports.

After turning in a 5.28 ERA and 1.60 WHIP over his previous eight starts, Soriano was much sharper Saturday, striking out five while scattering three hits and two walks over five scoreless frames. He tossed just 76 pitches, however, with the Angels electing to cut his start short on account of the pair of injuries, which stemmed from him getting hit on the right side of the chest by a 98-mph line drive off the bat of Jonathan Aranda in the first inning. Though he was initially able to stay in the game, Soriano noted that his chest became tight between innings, and his legs became more sore as he attempted to put less stress on his chest while pitching. Manager Kurt Suzuki suggested that Soriano's removal was precautionary, so at this stage, the right-hander is expected to be ready to go for his next turn through the rotation Thursday versus the Athletics in Sacramento.

Burleson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.

Burleson got the Cardinals on the board when he homered off Taj Bradley in the fourth inning. With a homer in five of his last six contests and an active 14-game hitting streak, Burleson is locked in. During the streak, he has gone 19-for-58 (.328) with 10 extra-base hits and 16 RBI. For the season, the slugger is up to 13 homers, 51 RBI, 39 runs scored, 17 doubles and two stolen bases while batting .287 with an .848 OPS through 68 games.

Wetherholt went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Twins.

Wetherholt has gone 8-for-26 (.308) over seven games since returning from a brief absence due to groin soreness. The infielder played a big role in the Cardinals' offense Sunday, though it wasn't quite enough. He's now hitting .255 on the year while adding a .761 OPS, 10 homers, 31 RBI, 45 runs scored, seven doubles and seven stolen bases over 65 games.

Seager (ribs/jaw) is dealing with concussion symptoms, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Seager is set to be sidelined for a third consecutive game Sunday night against the Red Sox as he continues to recover from his collison with Carter Jensen at home plate Thursday. Manager Skip Schumaker outlined that the shortstop is experiencing "mild" concussion symptoms, so it's unclear how close he is to returning to the lineup. Ezequiel Duran is drawing the start at shortstop and batting fourth in Sunday night's series finale in Boston.

Abbott did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing a run on four hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out five.

Abbott was sharp Sunday, with the lone run he allowed coming on a Tommy Troy solo homer in the third inning. Abbott has held opponents to three runs or fewer while going at least five innings in each of his last nine starts, posting a 2.29 ERA in that span (51 innings). Overall, Abbott's ERA is down to 3.95 with a 1.41 WHIP and 58:36 K:BB across 15 starts (79.2 innings) this season. The southpaw is currently lined up to face the Yankees on the road in his next outing.
