Suarez allowed a hit and a walk while striking out four over 2.2 scoreless innings in Saturday's 2-0 loss to the Padres.

With starter J.T. Ginn struggling to find the zone, Suarez entered in the third inning and allowed an inherited baserunner to score, but he was able to settle in and keep the Padres from extending their lead for the remainder of his outing. The southpaw's four strikeouts marked his highest total through four appearances with the Athletics and his second-highest mark of the campaign. Across 13 outings between Atlanta, Seattle and the Athletics, Suarez owns a 6.17 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 30:16 K:BB in 23.1 innings.

Lowe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

After slugging home runs in both ends of Saturday's twin bill, Lowe will take a seat for the series finale while the Cardinals send lefty Brycen Mautz to the hill. The Reds recently welcomed Eugenio Suarez back from the injured list, but manager Terry Francona could continue to find regular room in the lineup at first base for Lowe against right-handed pitching while the 30-year-old is wielding a hot bat. Over the last week, Lowe has gone 8-for-22 with five extra-base hits, seven RBI and four runs.

Caglianone went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Mariners.

Caglianone contributed to the Royals' three-run first inning with a two-out RBI single before promptly stealing second base. It marked the 23-year-old's first successful stolen base of the season after he was caught in his lone previous attempt April 4 against the Brewers. Speed isn't exactly the right fielder's calling card, but he's also shown improvement at the plate in his second big-league season. Caglianone is slashing .247/.310/.416 with 15 extra-base hits (five homers), 11 RBI and 18 runs across 47 games in 2026 after mustering just a .532 OPS over 62 contests in 2025.

Langford (forearm) was cleared to begin a throwing and hitting progression Friday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Langford was briefly shut down after earlier this month after experiencing renewed soreness in his right forearm during an extended spring training game, but he seems to be steadily ramping back up again. The 24-year-old will continue his hitting and throwing progressions for the next week before embarking on a rehab assignment. He appears to be trending toward a return from the 10-day injured list in early-to-mid-June.

Crawford is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

The Phillies are opting to give the Crawford the afternoon off against tough lefty Parker Messick. Brandon Marsh will slide over from his usual spot in left field to cover center in place of Crawford.

Kreidler will start at shortstop and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Kreidler will draw a fourth straight start at shortstop after going 3-for-12 with a home run, a double, four RBI and an additional run scored over the previous four contests. His run as a lineup regular is likely to come to an end in short order, however, as Brooks Lee is expected to shift back from third base when Tristan Gray returns from the paternity list Monday.

Yelich is not in the Brewers' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Yelich has gone 1-for-16 with two walks and seven strikeouts over his last four games and will get a breather for Sunday's series finale. Jake Bauers will serve as the Brewers' designated hitter while Andrew Vaughn starts at first base.

Mitchell (back) is starting in center field and batting sixth against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Mitchell missed the Brewers' last two games due to back tightness, but he has been cleared to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale. He went 5-for-15 with one steal, one home run and two RBI in the five games prior to his back issue.

The Orioles scratched Mayo from the starting lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Tigers due to lower-back discomfort, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

The back issue presumably cropped up while Mayo was working out prior to the game. The Orioles will go with Weston Wilson as their starting third baseman and No. 6 batter in his place. It's unclear whether Mayo will be available off the bench or if he has a chance of returning to the lineup for the nightcap.

The Cardinals optioned Fernandez to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday.

Fernandez was up as the 27th man during Saturday's doubleheader in Cincinnati and turned in a stellar two-inning appearance in the second game, retiring all six batters he faced (four via strikeout). This is likely to be a temporary move, as Fernandez is a good bet to be recalled once Brycen Mautz is sent down following a spot start Sunday. Fernandez is having a nice bounce-back season out of the Cards' bullpen, posting a 1.17 ERA and 13:2 K:BB over 7.2 innings.
