Mariners' Bryce Miller: Beginning rehab assignment Saturday
Miller (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.
General manager Justin Hollander said Miller will likely need the full 30 days to build his arm up, according to Kramer. The plan for Saturday is for Miller to throw two innings or 30 pitches. The right-hander missed almost the entirety of spring training and has been throwing for the last couple weeks. It sounds like he could rejoin the Mariners later next month.

Rays' Edwin Uceta: Suffers setback
Manager Kevin Cash said Friday that Uceta has soreness in the back of his right shoulder following his latest rehab appearance at Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Uceta was roughed up a bit during his outing Wednesday, allowing two earned runs on five hits over 1.1 innings. The Rays will now shut him down for a few days before re-evaluating him, at which point an updated timeline for his return may emerge.

White Sox's Tyler Gilbert: Back to Triple-A
The White Sox optioned Gilbert to Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
Gilbert was recalled by the White Sox ahead of Wednesday's game against the Rays, during which he allowed four runs on two hits and two walks while striking out two batters across 1.2 innings. He'll return to Triple-A while the White Sox promote Doug Nikhazy in a corresponding move.

White Sox's Doug Nikhazy: Recalled Friday
The White Sox recalled Nikhazy from Triple-A Charlotte on Friday.
The 26-year-old southpaw's last minor-league appearance was Tuesday against Jacksonville, when he allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four across four scoreless frames. Bikhazy has started in his two outings in Triple-A this season, but he'll likely serve out of the White Sox's bullpen in a long-relief role. Tyler Gilbert was optioned to Charlotte in a corresponding move.

Andujar is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Angels.
Andujar will not make the start against right-hander Jose Soriano, as Ty France is getting the nod at first base, with Nick Castellanos at designated hitter. Andujar has been out of the lineup four of the last five games for the Padres.

Collins (knee) is not in the Royals' starting lineup against the Yankees on Friday but is available off the bench, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
Friday marks the third consecutive game that Collins is out of the lineup due to a right knee contusion, but he's progressed enough in his recovery that he can enter the game should the Royals require his services. Collins has opened the season slashing .214/.327/.310 with one home run, four RBI and four runs scored over 49 plate appearances.
