Andrew Kittredge RP | BAL
Orioles' Andrew Kittredge: Resumes rehab assignment
Kittredge (shoulder/paternity) resumed his rehab assignment at Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Kittredge's assignment was paused Tuesday when he went on paternity leave, but he's now back with the Tides, continuing to work his way back from the right shoulder inflammation that sent him to the injured list at the beginning of the year. The 36-year-old has already made three appearances at Triple-A, allowing one earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out five batters through 2.2 innings.

Jared Oliva RF | SF
Giants' Jared Oliva: Undergoes hamate bone surgery
Oliva underwent left hamate bone surgery Thursday in Los Angeles, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
The common recovery timeline for this type of procedure is 4-to-6 weeks, so Oliva will be out until mid-May even in a best-case scenario. He is 1-for-7 at the plate this season in his limited opportunities for the Giants.

Kyle Harrison SP | MIL
Brewers' Kyle Harrison: Lined up to start in Detroit series
Harrison (knee/wrist) will make a start during next week's three-game series in Detroit that begins Tuesday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Harrison injured his knee and wrist while covering first base in his last outing Saturday against the Nationals. Coleman Crow is making a spot start Friday versus the Marlins in Harrison's place, but the left-hander will be ready to take his next turn. Harrison has collected a 3.07 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 15:4 K:BB across 14.2 frames in his first three starts this season.

Jackson Chourio CF | MIL
Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Takes swings Friday
Chourio (hand) took some swings Friday for the first time since undergoing left hamate bone surgery, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Chourio's recovery from the operation has come along more slowly than anticipated, but he took a big step Friday. The talented young outfielder will continue to ramp up his rehab, with the goal of being ready for his season debut sometime in early May.

Richard Fitts SP | STL
Cardinals' Richard Fitts: Undergoes season-ending lat surgery
Fitts has undergone season-ending surgery on his right lat, Daniel Guerrero of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Fitts was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Memphis earlier this week with a lat strain, and testing revealed the need for surgery. Cardinals president of baseball operations Chaim Bloom said Friday that the long-term prognosis for Fitts is good, but the operation will cost him the rest of 2026 and it's possible he also gets a late start to the 2027 campaign. Fitts was acquired from the Red Sox over the offseason in the Sonny Gray trade and had posted a 1.76 ERA and 11:6 K:BB over 15.1 innings at Memphis.

Kyle Stowers RF | MIA
Marlins' Kyle Stowers: Return considered imminent
Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that Stowers (hamstring) will play another rehab game with Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday before being evaluated for a potential return, Craig Mish of FanDuel Sports Network Florida reports.
Stowers has gone just 2-for-15 with a 0:6 BB:K in his first four rehab contests, but it sounds like his season debut is imminent as long as he checks out physically. The 2025 All-Star has been out all season with a right hamstring strain. All three of Stowers' starts in the field on his rehab assignment have been in left field, and that will be his primary position once he's activated. However, the plan is to get him some occasional reps at first base, as well.

Tyler O'Neill LF | BAL
Orioles' Tyler O'Neill: Needs more time to recover
Manager Craig Albernaz said Friday that O'Neill (concussion) needs more time to recover and still has yet to clear protocol, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.
O'Neill is eligible to come off the 7-day concussion injured list Saturday, but that's not going to happen. With O'Neill sidelined, Dylan Beavers and Leody Taveras will continue to see regular at-bats in the Baltimore outfield mix.

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN
Reds' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Taking seat Friday
Hayes is absent from the lineup for Friday's game in Minnesota.
Hayes is a woeful 3-for-47 with zero extra-base hits and zero RBI in his first 17 games this season. His defense at third base has helped keep him in the lineup most days, but the Reds will have no choice but to cut his playing time if Hayes' offense doesn't at least get to a passable level. Eugenio Suarez is at the hot corner Friday, and Nathaniel Lowe will serve as the designated hitter.
