The Orioles announced Monday that Helsley (elbow) hasn't been cleared to start a throwing program, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Per Jake Rill of MLB.com, Helsley said that while he's not yet been given the green light to play catch, he's pleased with how his injured elbow has responded to anti-inflammatory medication. He's been able to run and work out in the meantime and expects to start throwing a weighted ball in the coming days before initiating a throwing program. According to Andy Kostka of TheBanner.com, Helsley added that he's not dealing with any ligament damage to his elbow and expects to require a rehab assignment before potentially returning from the 15-day injured list in late May. Since the Orioles closer landed on the shelf May 1, Rico Garcia has collected both of Baltimore's save chances.

Suter will serve as the Angels' opening pitcher in Monday's contest in Cleveland, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Suter will draw his second opener assignment of the season, after he allowed one run over two frames in his first start back on April 16 against the Yankees. Alek Manoah is slated to be the team's primary pitcher Monday sometime after Suter exits the game.

Tatis went 0-for-3 with two walks and a stolen base in an extra-inning win over St. Louis on Sunday.

While Tatis wasn't able to log any hits, he made an impact by taking two walks and stealing a base. The theft was his 10th this season, ninth-most in MLB. Beyond that, however, Tatis has largely disappointed fantasy managers so far, primarily because he's yet to go deep through 39 games. That's contributed to Tatis logging just 15 RBI and 14 runs while posting a meager .611 OPS. On the bright side, Tatis has made nine appearances at second base, and he'll gain significant value as a fantasy asset when/if he becomes eligible at the keystone (depending on league settings).

The Dodgers optioned Freeland to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.

Freeland has operated as the Dodgers' primary second baseman this season but has slashed an underwhelming .235/.309/.337 with an elevated 28.6 percent strikeout rate. With Mookie Betts (oblique) back from the injured list, the Dodgers will likely slide Hyeseong Kim from shortstop to second base, while Freeland continues to play regularly at Oklahoma City.

Triple-A St. Paul placed Rodriguez (thumb) on the 7-day injured list May 6.

Rodriguez suffered a muscle strain in his thumb and has not played since May 1. He has slashed .247/.417/.506 with six home runs, three steals, a 21.3 percent walk rate and a 28.7 percent strikeout rate in 25 games for the Saints.

Bailey is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

David Fry will get the nod at catcher over Bailey, who went 0-for-3 at the dish in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Twins in his Guardians debut. Bailey is expected to see the lion's share of the playing time behind the dish with his new club, but the 26-year-old backstop likely won't carry much fantasy appeal outside of two-catcher mixed leagues or AL-only leagues. He's batting just .141/.207/.176 on the season, with his .383 OPS placing him last among all catchers who have logged at least 70 plate appearances.

Martinez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Angels.

He'll hit the bench after he went 1-for-13 with an RBI and a run while starting all three games of the Guardians' series with the Twins over the weekend. With Martinez taking a seat, the Guardians will roll out an outfield of Steven Kwan, Daniel Schneemann and Chase DeLauter from left to right.

Judge went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a loss to the Brewers on Sunday.

Judge put New York ahead early with a solo blast to right field in the first inning. It was his fourth homer through 10 games so far in May and his 16th overall this season, tied with Kyle Schwarber for the MLB lead. Judge also ranks third in the league in OPS (1.043), is tied for sixth in RBI (30) and ranks sixth in walks (32).

Bachman recorded a hold against Toronto on Sunday, retiring the only batter he faced in the eighth inning.

Bachman was called upon in the eighth frame with two outs after the Blue Jays loaded the bases on a trio of singles. The right-hander faced an imposing task with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at the plate, but Bachman was able to get Toronto's star slugger to ground out. Bachman's usage Sunday was indicative of the high-leverage role he's moved into this season -- he leads the Angels with seven holds, which is almost twice as many as he accumulated over his first two MLB campaigns combined. Bachman has earned manager Kurt Suzuki's trust by putting up a 3.32 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 21:10 K:BB over 19 innings spanning 14 appearances.

The Athletics are expected to call up Bolte from Triple-A Las Vegas ahead of Tuesday's game against the Cardinals, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

With shortstop Jacob Wilson suffering a shoulder sprain in Sunday's loss to the Orioles that could send him to the injured list, Bolte looks like he could end up being promoted in a corresponding move to fill the open roster spot. Though he won't be a potential replacement option at shortstop for Wilson, Bolte could push the struggling Lawrence Butler (.560 OPS in 133 plate appearances) for regular playing time in the outfield. The 22-year-old Bolte has been one of the Pacific Coast League's hottest hitters through the first month and a half of the season, slashing .348/.418/.658 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases across 177 plate appearances.
