Hayes isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus Houston.

Hayes will get a day off Saturday after going just 3-for-20 with two RBI, one run scored and seven strikeouts since the beginning of May. His absence will give Sal Stewart a start at the hot corner, moving Spencer Steer to first base and opening up right field for Will Benson.

Stephenson isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.

Stephenson will get a break after going 0-for-7 with a walk and three strikeouts over his last two starts. Jose Trevino will step in to handle catching duties and bat eighth.

Kjerstad (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Chesapeake on Saturday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Kjerstad has been on the shelf all season due to a hamstring strain he suffered late in spring training. Due to the extensive time he's missed, the 27-year-old could be in line for a lengthy rehab assignment, and there's a real chance that he'll be optioned to Triple-A Norfolk upon his activation from the 10-day injured list.

Lord gave up a hit and struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings Friday to record his third hold of the season in a win over the Marlins.

The right-hander has been a multi-inning weapon out of the bullpen for the Nationals this season, working more than one inning in 10 of his first 12 appearances. Over 25.1 frames in 2026, Lord has posted a 3.55 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB while also adding a win to his ledger.

The Guardians optioned Naylor to Triple-A Columbus on Saturday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Naylor has slashed just .143/.200/.238 through 90 plate appearances this season, so Cleveland will send him back down to the minors to get him back on track. The Guardians traded for Patrick Bailey to replace Naylor on the active roster and provide defensive help at catcher. Austin Hedges is also likely to continue making starts behind the plate, given Bailey's recent offensive struggles.

Myers struck out two in a perfect 10th inning Friday to record his first save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Devin Williams got the win with a perfect ninth inning, while Luke Weaver and Brooks Raley had also worked earlier in Friday's contest, leaving closing duties to Myers after the Mets struck for two runs in the top of the 10th. It was the right-hander's first career save, but his primary role remains long relief in a bullpen that has been leaned on heavily due to injuries and ineffectiveness in the rotation. Myers has thrown 23.2 innings over 12 appearances this season, posting a 3.42 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 18:4 K:BB.

Lopez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Nationals.

The shortstop has hit safely in 11 straight games, a hot streak that has seen Lopez rack up a .435/.435/.609 slash line with five doubles, a homer, a steal, four RBI and seven runs. Lopez's .351 batting average on the season is second in the majors behind the .353 mark of Arizona's Ildemaro Vargas.

The Guardians traded Wilkinson and the 29th pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft to the Giants on Saturday in exchange for Patrick Bailey, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Wilkinson has performed well since receiving a promotion to Double-A at the start of the season, posting a 1.59 ERA and 0.93 WHIP alongside a 36:9 K:BB through 28.1 innings (six starts). He will likely report to Double-A Richmond to begin his tenure in the Giants organization.

Ruiz went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and two stolen bases in Friday's loss to the Nationals.

Starting in center field and batting ninth against southpaw Foster Griffin, Ruiz beat out a potential double-play grounder in the second inning and then promptly swiped second and third base before being stranded. The 27-year-old's speed has never been in question, only his ability to get on base often enough to put it to good use in the majors. Over his first 11 games as a Marlin, Ruiz has seen just 21 plate appearances as a short-side platoon option and late-inning defensive replacement or pinch runner, but he's gone 5-for-5 in steal attempts despite batting .190 (4-for-21) with a 0:8 BB:K.

The Guardians acquired Bailey from the Giants on Saturday in exchange for left-hander Matt Wilkinson and the 29th pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Bailey was starting to see his playing time with the Giants trend down after beginning the season with just a .396 OPS through 89 plate appearances. The Guardians have also been fighting to get consistent production out of the catcher spot, as Bo Naylor has struggled to the tune of a .438 OPS over his first 28 games and will now head down to Triple-A following Cleveland's acquisition of Bailey. Although he hasn't produced much at the plate, Bailey's elite defense should allow him to at least work in a timeshare behind the dish with Austin Hedges.
