Carpenter aggravated a right heel injury before he was lifted after four innings during Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Royals, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports. He went 0-for-2 at the plate prior to his departure.

Carpenter has been dealing with a bruised right heel for over a week, and he tweaked the injury Sunday before Ben Malgeri came on to replace him in the top of the fifth. Manager A.J. Hinch said after the game that the 28-year-old Carpenter is set for further evaluation in the near future. Carpenter can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to Atlanta.

Alonso got the Orioles on the board in the eighth inning with a 419-foot blast off Dylan Lee, his 22nd homer this season, cutting the deficit to 2-1. Alonso had gone nine games without a home run and seven without an RBI prior to Sunday. Overall, the first baseman is slashing .249/.346/.466 with 67 RBI, 65 runs scored and five steals through his first 462 plate appearances with Baltimore.

Iglesias took a blown save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Orioles in extra innings. He gave up an unearned run while logging a walk and a strikeout in the ninth inning.

Though an Ozzie Albies error helped Baltimore to tie the game Sunday, Iglesias was still tagged with his second blown save in his last eight appearances after he had converted his first 17 save chances of the season. Iglesias has given up seven runs (six earned) in his last 8.2 innings, though he still sports an excellent 2.43 ERA overall with a 1.08 WHIP and 43 strikeouts through 37 innings this year.

Hurter (spine) threw a bullpen session Friday, MLB.com reports.

Hurter is working his way back from lumbar spine inflammation, which has kept him on the shelf since May 24. He's eligible to come off the 60-day injured list at any time but will likely need to complete a rehab assignment prior to being reinstated.

Dingler went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Royals.

After getting a day off Saturday, Dingler picked up where he left off with another good performance Sunday. The catcher has now tallied 68 RBI across 97 games this season, and he's also sporting a strong .874 OPS to go along with 22 home runs. Dingler has been one of the best backstops in the majors from a fantasy perspective, and he's showing no signs of slowing down.

Baz did not factor into the decision Sunday against Atlanta, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks across 4.1 innings. He struck out two.

Baz wasn't at his best Sunday, as he failed to make it through five innings while throwing 90 pitches, just 55 for strikes. However, the right-hander was able to limit the damage overall, limiting Atlanta to just one earned run. Baz has now gone seven straight starts without a win despite posting a respectable 3.83 ERA in that span (40 innings). Overall, his ERA sits at 3.98 with a 1.39 WHIP and 107:44 K:BB across 21 starts (122 innings) this season. Baz is currently slated to face the Phillies at home his next time out.

Lopez didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Orioles, allowing five hits and a walk across 5.2 scoreless innings. He struck out six.

It was a nice bounce-back outing from Lopez, who had given up nine runs across 9.1 innings in his previous two starts. Overall, the right-hander is 4-3 with a 3.64 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 66:29 K:BB through 71.2 innings this season. Lopez will look to build on Sunday's outing his next time out, currently slated to come at home against the Nationals.

McGonigle went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Royals.

After an 0-for-4 effort Saturday, McGonigle bounced back with a good game Sunday to wrap up the weekend series. The 21-year-old infielder is now batting .270 with a .776 OPS this month as he continues to display tremendous consistency for a young player. Overall, McGonigle is sporting a .281/.387/.418 slash line across 102 games, and he's in a great position to earn AL Rookie of the Year honors.

Double-A Hartford reinstated Thomas (wrist) from its 7-day injured list Wednesday and assigned him to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League.

Thomas has yet to make his 2026 debut at Double-A following a lengthy recovering from offseason surgery to address a fractured hamate bone in his right wrist. The 23-year-old outfielder played in four rehab games in the ACL prior to the All-Star break and will stick around in Arizona to continue stockpiling at-bats. He'll likely report back to Hartford once he regains his timing at the plate.

Seager (back) said that he completed a "higher-volume" live batting practice session Sunday and will repeat the activity again Monday before likely heading out on a rehab assignment, Matthew Postins of SI.com reports.

Seager received the equivalent of about four at-bats against live pitching Friday, but he said that he wants to take live BP on consecutive days before moving on to the final step in his recovery from lower back inflammation, which sent him to the injured list July 1. Assuming all goes well Monday, Seager will report to one of the Rangers' affiliates for game action. The veteran shortstop may need just one game on the farm before being cleared to return from the IL, perhaps as soon as Friday's series opener in Houston.
