Jeffers is out of the lineup for Minnesota's matchup with the Phillies on Sunday.

After scoring Minnesota's lone run Saturday, Jeffers will sit out of Sunday's series finale. Victor Caratini will form a battery with Dean Kremer and bat eighth.

Gonzalez is not in the lineup for Sunday's affair with the Red Sox.

With southpaw Patrick Sandoval taking the mound for Boston, Gonzalez will sit out Sunday's rubber match. Jared Triolo will take over at shortstop and lead off for Pittsburgh.

The Pirates optioned Dotel to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

The Pirates recalled Hunter Barco from Triple-A Indianapolis to replace Dotel on the active roster and in the bullpen. Dotel owns a 4.71 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB across 28.2 innings at the big-league level this season.

The Pirates optioned Brannigan to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

After being elevated from Triple-A on Thursday, Brannigan played an inning in the field but didn't log any plate appearances during his three-day stay with the Pirates. He'll return to Indianapolis, where he's produced a .205/.305/.352 slash line with three home runs over 25 games this season.

The Pirates recalled Yorke from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday. He'll start at third base and bat seventh in the Pirates' series finale versus the Red Sox.

Per Jason Mackey of MLB.com, Yorke missed nearly two months of action at Triple-A while recovering from a fractured right middle finger, but the 24-year-old returned to the Indianapolis lineup earlier this week and went 6-for-16 with three home runs and a double in four games. He'll now get the call back to the big leagues for the first time since mid-May, with Pittsburgh optioning Jack Brannigan to Triple-A to make space for Yorke on the 26-man active roster.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Bellinger (hamstring) will begin a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday and could be activated from the 10-day injured list by next weekend, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Bellinger will most likely head to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and play Tuesday and Thursday before being re-evaluated. That would have him on track to slot back into the Yankees lineup during next weekend's home series versus the Blue Jays. Bellinger has been on the shelf since July 26 due to a left hamstring strain.

The Pirates recalled Barco from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Barco will be up with the Pirates for the fourth time this season and owns a 7.36 ERA and 2.11 WHIP in 14.2 innings over six appearances with the big club. The left-hander most recently tossed a six-inning shutout for Indianapolis last weekend and could be called upon to cover multiple innings of relief during Sunday's game against the Red Sox. Lake Bachar will be making a spot start Sunday, but he's expected to be in line for a restricted workload after making his first four appearances with Pittsburgh as a reliever.

McAdoo will start at first base and bat second in Sunday's game against the Yankees.

McAdoo will remain in the lineup for the sixth time in seven games, covering first base for the second day in a row after splitting time between third base and left field in his prior four starts. With the Blue Jays placing Vladimir Guerrero (concussion) on the 7-day injured list Saturday, McAdoo could have an extended runway at first base, though Kazuma Okamoto could also move across the diamond to help fill in. Since being recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, McAdoo has gone 5-for-16 with a home run, a double, three walks and four RBI.

The Rangers could bring Leiter (ankle) back from the 60-day injured list during the upcoming week if Jacob deGrom (triceps) is unavailable to make his next scheduled start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Theo DeRosa of MLB.com reports.

Imaging on deGrom's injured right triceps confirmed revealed nothing concerning, but the right-hander's availability for his next turn through the rotation is still in doubt. Leiter -- who has been on the shelf June 21 while recovering from surgery to remove a loose body from his right ankle -- was able to make his first rehab start this past Thursday for Triple-A Round Rock, during which he covered 2.2 scoreless innings and 48 pitches. The Rangers had initially placed for Leiter to make at least one more rehab start and build up his pitch count before coming back from the IL, but the banged-up state of the big-league rotation -- both deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) are recovering from injuries -- could accelerate Leiter's timeline to return.

Toronto reinstated Little from the paternity list Sunday.

Little missed the maximum of three days while welcoming the birth of his new child. The 29-year-old will provide a fresh arm to an exhausted Blue Jays staff that utilized seven different pitchers during Saturday's bullpen game. The left-hander will replace Ricky Tiedemann on the active roster.
