The Twins placed Sands on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right forearm strain, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Sands gave up two earned runs in just two-thirds of an inning during his last appearance Tuesday, and he'll now have to wait at least a couple of weeks to redeem himself after coming away from his outing with a forearm injury. John Klein will come up from Triple-A St. Paul to take Sands' place in Minnesota's bullpen.

Moreno went 0-for-5 and struck out three times in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Cubs.

Moreno, who returned Friday from a three-week absence due to an oblique injury, started at catcher and batted fifth. It may take a few games for Moreno get his timing down after the absence, as he did not go out on a rehab assignment.

Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk Friday against the Reds.

Ozuna went yard in the fifth inning to record his third home run of the season and first since April 18 -- a span of 10 games and eight starts. He continues to hit poorly to begin the year, as he's batting just .118 with a 32.4 percent strikeout rate in his last 10 contests. Ozuna remains Pittsburgh's primary designated hitter, but he has been out of the lineup for three of the team's last seven games and could continue to see his playing time slip.

Ray (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Rays, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks with five strikeouts across 6.1 innings.

Ray was hurt by the long ball in this one, as he served up solo shots to Yandy Diaz and Junior Caminero in the second and fourth innings. The veteran left-hander was, however, able to record his second start of the season without a free pass after he handed out a National League-high 73 walks last season. Ray has an excellent fastball-slider combination and has pitched great overall this season. The Giants have been shut out in three of his seven starts, and they scored one run in another. Ray owns a 2.95 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 40:14 K:BB across 39.2 innings.

Walls went 2-for-3 with a double and run scored in Friday's 3-0 win over the Giants.

It was Walls' first multi-hit game since April 12 after he went 5-for-41 (.122) with one extra-base hit over his previous 13 games. The shortstop has his average back over the Mendoza Line with a .210/.310/.258 slash line that includes three doubles, four RBI, 10 runs scored, five stolen bases and an 8:21 BB:K across 75 plate appearances this season.

Barrosa started in left field and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Cubs.

Barrosa had the most unlikely of doubles in the sixth inning when his attempted sacrifice bunt, which Chicago third baseman Alex Bregman thought was heading into foul territory, stayed fair and rolled into left field. The two-hit night snapped an 0-for-10 run for Barrosa, whose playing time has taken a hit since Lourdes Gurriel was activated off the injured list.

Scott didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Angels, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits while striking out eight across five frames.

Scott was recalled to the big-league roster Tuesday after Kodai Senga (back) was placed on the injured list, and this was a far better showing than the one he delivered in his 2026 debut against the Twins on April 23. It remains to be seen if Scott will remain in the rotation for another turn, but if he does, he'd tentatively line up to make his next start on the road against the Rockies next week.

Reynolds went 2-for-4 with a walk, a triple, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Friday's 9-1 rout over the Reds.

Both extra-base hits came off Brady Singer, including a solo shot in the first inning that got the Pirates' offense rolling and gave Reynolds his fourth long ball of the season. The veteran outfielder has three multi-hit performances in the last four games, and he's drawn a free pass in seven of the last eight contests -- a stretch in which he's slashing .259/.459/.519 with five RBI and seven runs.

Caminero went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in Friday's 3-0 win over the Giants.

The third baseman took Robbie Ray deep for his ninth homer of the season in the fourth inning. Caminero snapped a five-game homerless drought with the long ball and is now slashing .258/.328/.508 with the nine homers, 16 RBI, 18 runs scored and a 13:23 BB:K across 134 trips to the plate. His flyball rate has ticked up to 40.8 percent this season while his bat speed (79.7 mph) is in the 100th percentile.

Fermin (0-1) was tagged with the loss in relief Friday against the Mets, allowing one run on one hit during his lone inning of work. He struck out one.

Fermin was tagged with the loss after allowing a solo shot to Ronny Mauricio, who went yard for the first time this season, for what would be the final run scored in the game. Fermin has made three appearances out of the bullpen since being promoted to the big-league roster April 26, allowing one run across 3.2 innings with a 4:0 K:BB. He has hit two batters as well, so he needs to do a better job with the control of his pitches, but for the most part, he's delivering decent results in his first taste of action in the major leagues in 2026.
