Brubaker enjoyed his most successful season in the majors while working primarily as a reliever in 2025, logging a 3.77 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 28.2 innings between the Yankees and Giants. The 32-year-old righty will likely compete for a rotation spot during spring training, though he could also be used as a long reliever again if he misses the cut.

The Mariners non-tendered Saucedo on Friday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander was designated for assignment by Seattle earlier this week and will now hit the open market. Saucedo gave up 11 earned runs over 10 relief appearances for the Mariners in 2025, so he spent most of the campaign at Triple-A Tacoma.

The Mariners non-tendered Thornton on Friday, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Thornton's 2025 season came to an abrupt halt in late July after he tore his left Achilles tendon. Prior to the injury, Thornton posted five holds along with a 4.68 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 32:14 K:BB across 42.1 innings while operating out of the bullpen. Thornton's expected timeline to recover was estimated as 6-to-8 months after undergoing surgery in August, which will impact his availability for spring training should he sign with a team.

The Pirates non-tendered Canario on Friday, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Canario was DFA'd by the Pirates on Tuesday to make room on the 40-man for a wave of prospects, and he'll now lose his place in the organization altogether. The 25-year-old may have to settle for a minor-league deal in free agency after slashing just .218/.274/.338 over 234 plate appearances during his first extended look in the bigs.
