Hart is questionable for Monday's game against the Cavaliers due to a right ankle impingement. Hart posted 20 points (8-15 FG), 10 rebounds, three assists and a steal in 37 minutes during Friday's win over Indiana, but he came away from the game with an ankle issue. The severity remains unclear, but if he's sidelined, Miles McBride (knee) would be a candidate to enter the starting lineup.

Hart accumulated 20 points (8-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Friday's 123-98 victory over Indiana. Hart has done a good job as a starter in the Knicks' first two games, racking up a combined 32 points, 14 rebounds and six assists against two difficult opponents in Boston and Indiana. The losses of Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and Precious Achiuwa (hamstring) have propelled Hart to a starting role, and he should maintain that position for at least the next couple of weeks. The uptick in minutes certainly benefits his fantasy prospects across all formats, as he's showing to be a capable scorer in addition to his traits as an above-average rebounder for the forward position.

Hart (rest) is expected to play and start in Friday's preseason finale against the Wizards, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Hart was held out of Tuesday's game against the Hornets due to rest. The 29-year-old will likely operate under a minutes restriction Friday, so the club will take an extended look at Chuma Okeke, T.J. Warren and Pacome Dadiet.

Hart won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Hornets for rest purposes, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports. Hart will join the rest of New York's starters on the sidelines. They are all expected to be back in action during Friday's preseason finale against the Wizards.

Hart scored zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3PT) but added six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block in 25 minutes during Wednesday's preseason victory over the Wizards. As expected, Hart remained in the starting lineup Wednesday, a move that was facilitated following the Julius Randle trade. Hart was a real difference-maker down the stretch last season, taking advantage of injuries to other players. Although he is slated to begin the season as a starter, managers should temper their expectations, especially on the offensive end. With that said, his ability to grab out-of-position rebounds and compile assists and defensive stats make him a viable target in the later rounds of drafts.
