Porzingis (foot) finished with 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 23 minutes in Monday's 126-94 win over the Clippers. As anticipated, Porzingis started but was operating on a minute restriction in his 2024-25 debut, after he had missed the first 17 games of the season while completing his recovery from the surgery he underwent in June to fix a tear in the tissue that holds the ankle tendons in place. Though Porzingis had been expected to require 5-to-6 months of recovery time, he made it back on the court in a little under five months. Aside from some poor shooting from the perimeter, Porzingis more or less looked like himself Monday, and he should see his playing time gradually increase during the Celtics' upcoming games. Porzingis will be a candidate to sit out one half of back-to-back sets for the rest of the season, however.

Porzingis will enter the starting five in Monday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports. Porzingis underwent foot surgery in June and will return to game action earlier than his initial timetable suggested. The big man should be expected to operate under a minutes restriction in his return, though the club is thin at center due to Al Horford (illness) and Luke Kornet (hamstring) being sidelined.

Porzingis (foot) is available for Monday's game against the Clippers, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports. As expected, Porzingis has been upgraded from probable to available and will make his season debut Monday. With Al Horford (illness) and Luke Kornet (hamstring) out, Porzingis will start Monday but probably won't play 30-plus minutes.

Porzingis (foot) has been upgraded to probable for Monday's game against the Clippers. This is a welcome surprise for Boston, as Porzingis was able to beat his initial timetable. He'll likely have some restrictions in his first game back, but no specifics have been reported yet. With Al Horford (illness) and Luke Kornet (hamstring) considered doubtful, Porzingis may step into the starting lineup right away.

Boston assigned Porzingis (foot) to the G League's Maine Celtics to take part in practice Monday, Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston reports. Porzingis is advancing to the next phase of his recovery as he continues to trend in the right direction in his recovery from offseason surgery to repair a tendon in his left ankle. Following Monday's practice, Porzingis will return to Boston, where he will continue to ramp up his workload. A target date for his season debut has yet to be announced, but Porzingis told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN prior to training camp that he expects to resume playing "sometime in December" at the latest, and "hopefully earlier than that."
