Martin is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Bulls. Martin will return to a bench role with Miles Bridges back in the starting five. The six-year veteran is averaging 8.8 points and 4.5 rebounds across 25.6 minutes per game when coming off the bench this season. His upside should be fairly low with Bridges back in the mix, though.

Martin is starting Saturday's game against the Cavaliers. The Hornets are navigating through a depleted frontcourt, so it'll be Martin who draws the start at power forward without the services of Miles Bridges (knee) and Tidjane Salaun (ankle). Martin's last start dates back to Oct. 26 against the Heat, when he recorded 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 27 minutes.

Martin totaled nine points (2-7 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 22 minutes during Friday's 99-98 loss to the Knicks. Martin did a little bit of everything for Charlotte off the bench Friday, leading all bench players in rebounds and assists while coming up one point shy of the double-digit mark in a well-rounded performance. Martin matched a season high in assists while posting his second-best rebound total of the year. He has now tallied at least five points, five rebounds and five assists in two outings.

Martin logged 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 36 minutes during Thursday's 123-121 overtime win over the Pistons. Martin was extremely efficient as a scoring weapon despite coming off the bench, and he finished as the Hornets' third-best offensive threat behind the star duo of Brandon Miller (38 points) and LaMelo Ball (35 points). Martin should continue playing off the bench for the foreseeable future, but the lack of consistency on a game-to-game basis certainly hurts his upside. This was Martin's first game with double-digit points since Nov. 8, when he also scored 15 points in a win over the Pacers.

Martin provided five points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals over 25 minutes during Sunday's 128-114 loss to the Cavaliers. Martin had a massive impact on the defensive end and continues to play well as a utility player for Charlotte. Through 13 appearances this season, Martin has been able to churn out some deep-league fantasy value with averages of 9.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.9 steals, 0.5 blocks and 1.4 three-pointers.
