The Kings waived Jeffries on Thursday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.comreports. Jeffries signed a training camp deal with the Kings on Wednesday but is now expected to join the club's G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings, for the 2025-26 campaign. Over 47 regular-season appearances (20 starts) with Charlotte last season, he averaged 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds across 22.8 minutes per game.

The Kings and Jeffries agreed to a deal Wednesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. After spending last year in Charlotte, the journeyman forward's next stop will be Sacramento. Jeffries is an option for frontcourt depth with Sacramento or perhaps a more significant role for the G League's Stockton Kings.

The Hornets waived Jeffries on Thursday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports. Jeffries was slated to earn $2.7 million in 2025-26, but his contract wasn't guaranteed. With the Hornets adding a handful of rookies to the mix, as well as some veterans such as Collin Sexton and Spencer Dinwiddie, Jeffries became expendable. Charlotte's roster now stands at 20 players, with training camp looming.

Jeffries ended Sunday's 93-86 loss to the Celtics with 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds and one steal in 28 minutes. Jeffries provided a lift from deep in Sunday's regular-season finale, connecting on a team-high trio of threes while finishing as one of five Hornets with a double-digit point total in a losing effort. Jeffries reached double figures in scoring in 10 outings this season while connecting on three or more threes on eight occasions overall.

Jeffries is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies. Jeffries will push Seth Curry to the bench against Memphis on Tuesday. Over his last 11 outings in the first unit, Jeffries has averaged 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.8 blocks, 0.6 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in 29.3 minutes while shooting 43.6 percent from beyond the arc.
