  The Timberwolves waived Dozier on Saturday, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports. Dozier inked a one-year contract with Minnesota in July but appeared in just nine games for the Timberwolves and averaged 3.9 minutes per appearance. The 28-year-old will hit the open market, though it's unlikely he winds up in a spot that would warrant fantasy consideration.

  Dozier registered four points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound over three minutes during Saturday's 113-103 loss to the Spurs. Dozier saw his first action since the 2022-23 season, logging three minutes in garbage time. After spending the previous season with Serbian club Partizan Belgrade, Dozier was signed to a one-year deal during the preseason. Unless the Timberwolves are struck down with multiple injuries, Dozier is unlikely to be anything more than a depth piece this season.

  Dozier is starting Thursday's preseason game against the Nuggets. Dozier is running with the first unit while Minnesota rests nearly all of its usual rotation players. He'll start alongside Rob Dillingham, Terrence Shannon, Josh Minott and Luka Garza.

  Dozier agreed to a one-year contract with the Timberwolves on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Dozier spent last season with Serbian club Partizan Belgrade but will get another shot in the NBA during the 2024-25 campaign. He suffered a torn ACL in November of 2021 while playing with the Nuggets, and he played mainly in the G League during the 2022-23 campaign, spending time with the affiliates of the Timberwolves and Kings. Over 33 Euroleague appearances last year, Dozier averaged 9.2 points, 3.1 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per game.

• P.J. Dozier: Headed overseas

  Dozier has signed a one-year contract with Partizan Belgrade of the EuroLeague, the team announced Saturday. After averaging 4.9 minutes per game across 16 appearances with Sacramento last season and being waived this offseason, Dozier will get a fresh start overseas. The 6-foot-6 wing has struggled to find a consistent NBA role since entering the league in 2017, appearing in fewer than 18 games four times during his six-year career.
