Fontecchio will come off the bench Thursday against the Nets, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. The Heat have elected to switch up the starting lineup Thursday, as Kel'el Ware will step into the first unit in Fontecchio's place. The 30-year-old is averaging 8.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his last five matchups off the bench.

Fontecchio will start against the Raptors on Monday, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. With Tyler Herro (toe) ruled out less than 30 minutes before tipoff, Fontecchio will get the starting nod for the first time this season. Over his last five outings, the 30-year-old forward has averaged 8.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 18.4 minutes per game.

Fontecchio registered zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and two assists over eight minutes during Tuesday's 117-108 loss to the Magic. Fontecchio's role has shrunk considerably over the last few weeks, as he has registered only one double-digit scoring performance in his last nine games. He also hasn't been shooting the ball well, averaging just 7.2 points on 31.0 percent from the field and 1.2 threes on a 20.8 percent clip in that span. Still, the sharpshooter is shooting 37.0 percent from beyond the arc on the season, so expect him to get his shooting numbers back on track in the future if he is given the opportunity to do so.

Fontecchio totaled 20 points (8-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and seven rebounds in 26 minutes during Saturday's 127-111 loss to the Kings. With Tyler Herro (toe), Davion Mitchell (groin) and Pelle Larsson (hip) all unavailable, Fontecchio saw more than 25 minutes for just the second time this season. The 29-year-old forward made the most of the opportunity, setting a new season high in points while knocking down at least four triples for the fourth time this season. Fontecchio has seen the floor in four straight games, averaging 10.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 21.0 minutes per contest during that span.

Fontecchio provided 10 points (2-10 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 110-96 win over the Warriors. Fontecchio extends his streak of hitting multiple three-pointers to six but did not have a great shooting night Wednesday. On the season, Fontecchio averages 11.4 points and 2.6 threes on an astounding 47.6 percent clip, so expect him to post more efficient outings in the future.
