  Clayton ended with eight points (3-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal across 18 minutes during Sunday's 129-101 loss to the Rockets. Clayton went scoreless in his last two outings, so it was encouraging to see him bounce back with a productive stat line, even though it came due to the blowout aspect of the game. The rookie was just recalled from the Jazz's G League team in Salt Lake City, and another trip may be imminent due to Utah's depth at the guard position.

  The Jazz recalled Clayton from the G League's Salt Lake City Stars on Sunday. Clayton was assigned to the Stars on Saturday and appeared in a G League contest before quickly rejoining the NBA club Sunday. The rookie has played in 12 regular-season games for the Jazz this season, averaging 5.8 points, 3.2 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per contest.

  Clayton logged four points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 19 minutes during Sunday's 126-103 loss to the Hornets. Keyonte George continues to break out for the Jazz, and he's currently leaving Clayton in the dust to pick up the scraps. Clayton does have serious upside, but his role could be squeezed shortly with Isaiah Collier (hamstring) expected to return any day now.

  Clayton supplied 10 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, five assists and two steals across 18 minutes during Wednesday's 129-108 victory over the Clippers. Isaiah Collier continues to be sidelined by a hamstring issue, allowing Clayton to soak up some backup point guard reps to open his NBA career. Clayton was an obvious standout for the Jazz during the preseason and teased some serious upside on Opening Night. Given the draft capital Utah invested in Clayton, he's likely to get plenty of chances to impress with the team in the early stages of a rebuild.

  Clayton produced six points (1-7 FG, 1-4 3pt, 5-5 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in 29 minutes of Monday's 114-101 preseason win over the Jazz. Clayton shot the ball poorly Monday, but the rest of his game popped once again. Through three exhibitions, the rookie guard holds averages of 11.7 points, 5.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 27.8 minutes per contest. With Isaiah Collier (hamstring) still on the shelf, Clayton may get run on Opening Night.
