  • Anunoby registered 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals over 33 minutes during Friday's 128-98 win over Detroit. With Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges on the roster, Anunoby isn't typically asked to score in bunches. However, Anunoby's efficient shooting helped him record a season-high 21 points in Friday's blowout win. Across his first five appearances this season, the 27-year-old forward is averaging 13.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 35.0 minutes.

  • Anunoby logged 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 37 minutes during Monday's 110-104 loss to the Cavaliers. Anunoby was active on both ends of the floor Monday, taking a season-high 13 field-goal attempts. He also set season highs in steals and blocks in the loss. It's been a relatively underwhelming start for both the Knicks and Anunoby, but he'll eventually shoot better than 16.7 percent from distance.

  • Anunoby (rest) is expected to play in Friday's preseason game versus the Wizards, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Anunoby is expected to suit up Friday alongside the rest of the Knicks' typical starters. However, it would be surprising for Anunoby to receive a full workload.

  • Knicks' OG Anunoby: Sitting out Tuesday
    By RotoWire

Anunoby won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Hornets, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports. Anunoby hasn't suffered any injury but will sit out Tuesday's contest alongside the rest of the Knicks' starters. Anunoby's next chance to suit up will be Friday's preseason finale versus Washington.

  • Anunoby (hamstring) is healthy ahead of training camp, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. Anunoby suffered a hamstring injury during the Knicks' postseason run and missed four straight contests before admirably trying to play in a Game 7 loss to the Pacers. However, the veteran did not look like himself and lasted only five minutes before getting subbed out. The offseason has treated Anunoby well from a health and financial standpoint. He's expected to be full go at training camp and inked a five-year $212.5 million extension. The Knicks made a splash by signing Mikal Bridges this offseason, plus Anunoby and Jalen Brunson (hand) are healthy following an injury-riddled postseason, but it's not all blue skies in New York. Isaiah Hartenstein left for Oklahoma City, Mitchell Robinson (ankle) won't be ready until December or January and Julius Randle is still rehabbing from shoulder surgery ahead of training camp.
