LaMelo Ball has been carrying the Hornets on offense in the last few games, and while Miller might get overlooked, it's worth noting he's also posted excellent numbers. Miller and Ball combined for 64 of the team's 84 points Monday. This was Miller's sixth game with at least 20 points, a mark he's achieved in his last four appearances.

Miller came through several times when the Hornets needed him the most, and he was virtually unstoppable in overtime, hitting one tough shot after another en route to posting the best scoring output of his career. Miller has scored at least 20 points four times in 2024-25, and all four outings have come in the current month.

Miller has been in a brutal shooting slump in his last three games. In that stretch, he's hitting 25.5 percent from the field and 20.5 percent from beyond the arc with averages of 12.0 points, 4.7 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.3 three-pointers. To his credit, he continues to fire away and the Hornets seem content to keep giving him the green light.
