  Black amassed 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six assists, five rebounds, one block and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 118-106 win over the Lakers. Black led the second unit in scoring during an extremely efficient outing Monday. The 21-year-old struggled over his first seven appearances in March, during which he had averaged only 6.6 points while shooting 35.9 percent from the field. However, Black has scored in double figures in three of his last four appearances, averaging 13.5 points while shooting 64.5 percent from the field. The second-year combo guard has also recorded six assists in back-to-back games.

Black has struggled with consistency this season, and this was just the fifth time he scored in double digits coming off the bench across his 15 appearances since the All-Star break. The former Arkansas standout has carved out a solid role in the rotation as the backup point guard for the Magic, but the inconsistency he shows on a game-to-game basis limits his upside considerably, even if he delivers solid outings like Friday's from time to time.

  Black supplied 17 points (5-7 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 22 minutes during Sunday's 108-103 win over the Cavaliers. Cole Anthony (toe) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (rest) were both cleared to play in this game, but Cory Joseph started at point guard again, while Anthony came off the bench. Anthony, who'd missed two straight games, lasted only six minutes before aggravating his injury, allowing Black to see more usage off the bench. This was Black's highest-scoring outing since Feb. 23, when he scored a season-high 23 points. Given the inconsistencies of his production and role, Black doesn't offer a ton of fantasy value, even if Anthony misses extended time.

  Black supplied five points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 15 minutes during Tuesday's 114-113 loss to Toronto. Black logged just 15 minutes despite the fact the Magic are without both Jalen Suggs (knee) and Cole Anthony (toe). Given Cory Joseph was handed the starting role over Black, it's fair to assume the coaching staff don't have a lot of faith in Black just yet. At this point, it appears as though a consistent starting role is not in the cards.

  Black ended Sunday's 110-90 win over Washington with 23 points (7-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes. Black carried the Magic in scoring and played a pivotal role in the win with a solid showing, particularly with his shooting from beyond the arc. This 23-point output matched his previous season-high mark, established in a Dec. 19 loss to the Thunder, and it was the fourth time he scored in double digits off the bench in his last six outings. Black is averaging 10.4 points per game while shooting 44 percent from deep since the beginning of February.
