Thiero (knee) finished with four points (1-1 FG, 2-2 FT) and one rebound in five minutes off the bench in Saturday's 119-95 win over the Bucks. Making his NBA debut after completing his recovery from the left knee surgery he required before being drafted in June, Thiero played two abbreviated shifts. After taking the court for the final 1:48 of the first quarter, the rookie remained on the bench for the second and third quarters before re-entering for the final 2:53 of the blowout win. The Lakers are likely to get at least one of Rui Hachimura (calf), Marcus Smart (illness) and LeBron James (sciatica) back for their next game Tuesday versus the Jazz, so Thiero is unlikely to get any run off the bench outside of a garbage-time scenario.

Thiero (knee) has been upgraded to available for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports. Thiero will be able to make his NBA debut Friday, though it remains to be seen if he'll be part of the rotation. The uncertainty regarding his role means the rookie out of Arkansas shouldn't have a lot of fantasy value in the early stages of his NBA career.

Thiero (knee) is probable for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports. Thiero will have the chance to make his NBA debut Friday, though minutes aren't guaranteed for the 2025 second-rounder. Most fantasy managers can monitor him from afar for the time being.

Thiero (knee) is questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Dan Woike of The Athletic reports. It's the first time all season that Thiero has drawn a questionable tag amid his recovery from left knee surgery. The rookie second-rounder is likely to face restrictions to his playing time upon his season debut, which could come as early as Friday. Thiero's eventual presence could eat into the minutes of Dalton Knecht off the Lakers' bench.

The Lakers recalled Thiero (knee) from their G League's South Bay Lakers on Saturday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports. Thiero was sent to South Bay as part of his rehab process for a lingering knee injury. The rookie forward was cleared for on-court contact work earlier this week, and he could soon be ready for 5-on-5 action. While a timeline for him to make his NBA debut hasn't been established, Thiero's return doesn't appear to be imminent.
