  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Expected to play Wednesday

Davis is probable for Wednesday's game against the Heat due to left foot plantar fasciitis.

Davis is expected to continue to play through the foot issue, but it may be impacting his effectiveness. Davis has failed to reach the 20-point mark in four of his last six outings after reaching that plateau in 14 straight games to begin the campaign.

  • Kel'el Ware C | MIA

    Heat's Kel'el Ware: Heads to G League

The Heat assigned Ware (foot) to the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce on Monday.

Ware is currently sidelined by a foot injury but is expected to play in the Skyforce's game against the Windy City Bulls on Thursday, per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Winderman's report implies that Ware won't be available for the Heat's next game Wednesday versus the Lakers, marking the rookie's third consecutive absence. Ware made nine appearances for the Heat in November but played double-digit minutes only twice, and he's since fallen out of the rotation with Kevin Love having settled in as the top backup to starting center Bam Adebayo.

  • Knicks' Ariel Hukporti: Practices with G League squad

New York recalled Hukporti from the G League's Westchester Knicks on Monday.

Westchester didn't have a game Monday, so Hukporti, Tyler Kolek and Precious Achiuwa joined the G League squad for practice and were recalled afterward. Playing time at the NBA level has been hard to come by for Hukporti, who's played double-digit minutes twice across eight appearances for New York.

  • Naz Reid C | MIN

Timberwolves' Naz Reid: Productive across board

Reid closed Monday's 109-80 win over the Lakers with 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 28 minutes.

After a pair of duds in which he scored a combined 15 points in two previous outings, Reid found his stride Monday evening. For the most part, he's had a solid season for the Timberwolves as the primary attacking option off the bench. Through 20 regular-season appearances, he's averaging 13.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.0 three-pointers.

  • Nets' Day'Ron Sharpe: Serves as backup center in debut

Sharpe (hamstring) recorded four points (0-2 FG, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 16 minutes off the bench in Monday's 128-102 loss to the Bulls.

The Nets were shorthanded Monday with eight players sitting out with injuries, but the return of Sharpe at least helped shore up the Nets' depth in the frontcourt to some degree. Sharpe -- who had missed the Nets' first 21 games of the season with a left hamstring strain -- settled in as the backup center behind starter Nic Claxton, but it's unclear if the Nets will have room in the rotation for Sharpe once the club is back to full strength. At least until Noah Clowney (ankle) is cleared to play, however, Sharpe should have a regular spot on the second unit.

  • Rudy Gobert C | MIN

Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: Posts double-double Monday

Gobert chipped in 17 points (7-8 FG, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 109-80 victory over the Lakers.

Gobert was one of the best players for the Timberwolves in this victory, missing just one shot from the field and leading the team in rebounds. This was Gobert's first double-double since the Nov. 24 loss to the Celtics, and the veteran big man has reached that threshold nine times across 20 contests in 2024-25.

  • Lakers' Anthony Davis: Poor showing Monday

Davis logged 12 points (4-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and one block in 33 minutes during Monday's 109-80 loss to the Timberwolves.

Davis had a rough shooting performance and ended up with more field-goal attempts than points scored, something that's quite uncommon for the star big man. Davis should be able to bounce back relatively soon, as he's simply too talented to post these numbers regularly. That said, it's worth noting Davis has failed to reach the 20-point mark in four of his last six outings after reaching that plateau in 14 straight games to begin the campaign.

  • Bulls' Nikola Vucevic: Keeps double-double streak alive

Vucevic closed with 21 points (8-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Monday's 128-102 win over Brooklyn.

Vucevic couldn't repeat the season-high 32-point output he delivered in the loss to Boston on Nov. 29, but he extended his streak of double-doubles to four contests. He's reached that mark in six of his last eight appearances, a span in which he's averaging 22.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Sniffs double-double in loss

Claxton ended Monday's 128-102 loss to Chicago with 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal over 24 minutes.

The Nets looked outmatched on both ends of the court in this matchup, but Claxton was one of the few decent performers for Brooklyn while ending just two boards away from a double-double. Claxton has struggled with injuries of late, which have caused him to miss five of the Nets' last 10 games. He's averaging 7.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks per game across eight starts.

  • Bam Adebayo PF | MIA

Heat's Bam Adebayo: Remains productive in loss

Adebayo produced 15 points (6-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Monday's 108-89 loss to the Celtics.

Adebayo seemed to draw a softer assignment with the Celtics opting to rest Kristaps Porzingis, but he still had some trouble with the defense of Luke Kornet, who rejected a season-high six shots. Adebayo has established himself as a safe fantasy asset in recent seasons, but his surge in three-point attempts per game (2.8) has been a double-edged sword in nine-category leagues, adding another dimension to his value at the cost of a career-low 41.9 percent shooting clip from the field in 19 games this year. Fantasy managers hope Adebayo's efficiency will climb back up closer to his career norms as the second quarter of the 2024-25 campaign gets underway, but the 27-year-old, three-time All-Star is averaging a productive 14.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in 35.3 minutes per game over his last six outings.
