• Rams' Matthew Stafford: Rights ship quickly in blowout win

  Stafford completed 22 of 31 pass attempts for 281 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 45-17 rout of the Cardinals. Stafford wasted no time getting back to his MVP-bid form after uncharacteristically committing three turnovers in last week's surprising loss to Carolina. The 37-year-old extended his streak of throwing multiple touchdown passes to seven games while making an example of Arizona's secondary. With 35 touchdowns thrown through 13 weeks, Stafford has nearly built a double-digit margin between himself and Dak Prescott/Jared Goff (26) for the league lead in the category. The fantasy star is already producing at a high level as the playoff schedule approaches, but Stafford may find added motivation playing against the club that drafted him in 2009 when the Rams host the Lions next Sunday.

  Stafford completed 18 of 28 passes for two touchdowns with two interceptions in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Panthers. He also lost a fumble. The veteran quarterback hit Davante Adams for two more red-zone TDs in the first half, but the Rams' passing game sputtered after halftime as the game slipped away. The picks were his first since Week 3 as he set an NFL record with 28 straight touchdown passes between interceptions, and it was the first time all season that Stafford had given the ball away more than once, but he did extend his streak of games with multiple touchdown passes to six, a stretch in which he's delivered a 20:2 TD:INT. Stafford will look to bounce back in a Week 14 divisional clash with the Cardinals.

  Stafford is our consensus number one QB this week, but he still has just the fourth-highest price on the main slate on FanDuel. I have heard some people concerned about touchdown regression. That makes sense, but not if the Rams remain so pass-heavy in the red zone. He leads the league in red zone pass attempts and has 20 passing touchdowns from inside the 10-yard line. I don't expect that to change against the Panthers.

Stafford got back to his league-dominating ways after posting pedestrian passing numbers (by his lofty standards) in a win over the Seahawks last Sunday. The 37-year-old dissected Tampa Bay's 26th-ranked pass defense, ending Sunday Night Football with his sixth game throwing three or more touchdowns with no interceptions in 11 starts this season. Stafford is playing some of the best football of his career in his 16th season, throwing for 2,830 yards with an outstanding 30:2 TD:INT as the Rams prepare to visit the Panthers next Sunday.

  Stafford snapped his three-game streak of scoring at least 34.8 Fantasy points in Week 11 against Seattle when he had 17.2. I expect him to get back on track in Week 12 against the Buccaneers, who just allowed Drake Maye and Josh Allen to combine for 70.7 Fantasy points in the past two games. Prior to facing the Seahawks, Stafford scored at least 31.6 Fantasy points in three consecutive home games, and Tampa Bay's defense should struggle to contain the Rams passing attack in this matchup.
