Rowe (neck) has returned to Saturday's contest against the Ravens, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports. Rowe briefly left Saturday's contest after sustaining a neck injury in the first half. He had six tackles prior to his exit.

The Steelers elevated Rowe from their practice squad to their active roster Friday. The veteran has stepped into a starting safety role over the last couple of games with both Minkah Fitzpatrick (knee) and Trenton Thompson (neck) dealing with injuries, and Rowe could very well assume the same duties if one or both of Fitzpatrick and Thompson miss more time in Week 18. In Rowe's two games as a starter, the 31-year-old has recorded 17 total tackles and one interception.

The Steelers signed Rowe to their practice squad Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Rowe will head to Pittsburgh after spending the offseason with the Panthers. The 2015 second-round pick could have a chance to see game action early on, considering the Steelers are now shorthanded at safety with Minkah Fitzpatrick dealing with a hamstring injury and both Keanu Neal (ribs) and Elijah Riley (ankle) on injured reserve.

Rowe (quadriceps) is active Sunday against the Jets. Rowe was a limited participant in practice throughout the week, but he'll take the field Week 18. His ability to play should strengthen the team's secondary as he starts alongside Jevon Holland at safety.

Rowe recorded six tackles, one sack and one pass defensed in Sunday's 26-20 loss to the Packers. After being sidelined the week prior due to a hamstring issue, Rowe returned from his one-game absence Sunday versus the Packers and had himself a solid outing which included his second consecutive contest with at least six stops and a sack. The 30-year-old will now look to snag his first interception since the 2020-21 campaign when Miami squares off against the Patriots on New Year's Day.
