  • Eagles' Darius Slay: Back for minicamp
    By RotoWire

Slay (back) was spotted practicing at Thursday's minicamp session, Cayden Steele of NJ.com reports. The 33-year-old cornerback was carted off the field with a back injury during the Eagles' wild-card loss to the Buccaneers, but it now seems as if he's moved past the issue. Slay, a six-time Pro-Bowler, defended 14 passes, including two interceptions, in just 12 games last season. Now that Slay has returned to form, he's expected to serve as the Eagles' top corner once again in 2024.

  • Slay injured his back in Monday's wild-card game against Tampa Bay and was carted off the field, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. The injury occurred while Slay attempted to make a tackle in the fourth quarter. He grabbed at his back and remained down for some time before being carted to the locker room. Slay had just come back from a different injury -- he missed the Eagles' final four games of the regular season due to a knee issue.

  • Slay (knee) was a full participant at practice Thursday. Slay also said Thursday that his knee feels "a thousand times better" than it did before the surgery he underwent on it prior to Week 15, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports. His availability should provide a huge boost to an Eagles defense preparing to square off against Mike Evans and Chris Godwin in Tampa Bay.

  • Eagles' Darius Slay: Won't play Week 17
    By RotoWire

Slay (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Slay was held out of practice all week as he continues to nurse a knee issue, so it's no surprise that the 32-year-old cornerback will be inactive for the third game in a row Sunday. With Slay missing the Week 17 affair, expect both Kelee Ringo and Bradley Roby to see increased snaps in the Eagles' secondary.

  • Slay (knee) was considered a nonparticipant at the Eagles' walkthrough Wednesday. Slay has missed the last two contests while recovering from a procedure he underwent on his knee and he has now opened the week on the sidelines once again in Week 17. The cornerback will likely have to participate in some capacity at one of Philadelphia's final two practices this week in order to be available for Sunday's matchup with Arizona.
