Atlanta released Grant (undisclosed) from injured reserve Thursday after reaching an injury settlement, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. Grant missed all of 2023 due to a ruptured patellar tendon that he sustained in the Browns' preseason finale against the Chiefs. He was able to catch on with the Falcons on Aug. 10, but he placed on the team's injured reserve five days later due to an unspecified injury. Now that an injury settlement has been reached, the 2016 sixth-round wide receiver will have an opportunity to sign with another team once he is fully healthy.

The veteran last saw NFL action in 2021 with Chicago and Miami, recording 11 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

He had a tryout with the Giants in July, but he will now head to Atlanta to compete for a return specialist role with the Falcons. His last full season was in 2021, when he played 15 regular-season games between the Dolphins and Bears, accumulating 250 punt return yards and one touchdown while adding 11 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns.

The special-teams ace hasn't suited up for regular-season action since 2021, when he logged appearances for both the Bears and Dolphins.
