Lutz connected on both of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Steelers. Lutz has now made all five of his field-goal tries through two games. Though his accuracy is a positive sign, the Broncos' continued struggles on offense cap the veteran kicker's potential with the lack of opportunities in scoring range. Nonetheless, Lutz will look to continue his perfect streak in Week 3 when the Broncos visit the Buccaneers.

Lutz plans to remain with the Broncos after agreeing to a two-year deal with the team, Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette reports. The report notes that Lutz originally had an arrangement with Jacksonville in place, but the kicker instead elected to re-up with Denver. The 29-year-old converted 30 of 34 field-goal tries and 29 of 31 extra-point attempts in 17 regular-season games with the Broncos in 2023.

Lutz is slated to sign a three-year contract with the Jaguars, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Lutz was solid for Denver last season, converting 30 of 34 field-goal tries and 29 of 31 extra-point attempts. He improved markedly with a field-goal conversion percentage of 88, as compared to 74 percent with the Saints in 2022. Now, Lutz will replace Brandon McManus as the starting placekicker for Jacksonville.

Lutz did not attempt a field goal and converted both of his extra-point tries in the Broncos' Week 18 loss to the Raiders, finishing the 2023 campaign with 30 total field goals made on 34 attempts to go along with 29 extra points on 31 tries. Lutz had a bounce-back year in 2023, making 88 percent of his field goals after connecting on 74 percent of his attempts in 2022 with the Saints. The veteran kicker's reunion with head coach Sean Payton proved to be a positive for the 29-year-old. Lutz showed progress on long kicks, improving his success rate from 57 percent to 70 percent on kicks of 40 yards or more. He'll head into the offseason as a free agent, although Denver could choose to re-sign him after an impressive 2023 campaign.

Lutz made three of four field-goal attempts and converted his only extra-point try in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Chargers. Lutz connected on field goals from 20, 32 and 43 yards out Sunday, while his only miss came on a 48-yard attempt in the final moments of the first half. The veteran kicker has now missed one kick in two straight games. Even so, Lutz boasts a solid 88 percent field-goal percentage on the season, a significant improvement over the 74 percent mark he hit in 2022 with the Saints. The 29-year-old will look to finish off his 2023 campaign with another strong performance when the Broncos visit the Raiders in Week 18.
