Clark (illness) was a full participant at practice Wednesday, Missi Matthews of the Steelers' official site reports. Clark missed Sunday's game versus the Colts with an illness, but it seems like he's on track to return to action in Week 10. However, with the Steelers' recent acquisition of safety Kyle Dugger via trade, it's not totally clear what role Clark will have against the Chargers on Sunday.

The veteran safety from Virginia Tech was originally listed as questionable for Sunday's contest after coming down with an illness. However, it now appears he won't be able to suit up in Week 9. While Clark misses his second game of the season Sunday, expect Kyle Dugger and Juan Thornhill to operate as the Steelers' top safeties.

Clark (illness) is questionable to face the Colts on Sunday, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Clark came down with an illness and didn't practice Friday. He'll have two days to recover enough to suit up against Indianapolis. Clark logged an 87 percent defensive snap share against Green Bay last Sunday and tallied five tackles (three solo).

Clark (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Browns, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports. Clark started at safety in two of the first four games of the regular season, but he will observe Sunday's AFC North tilt in street clothes as a healthy scratch. His absence opens the door for Jabrill Peppers to operate in a bigger role in the secondary alongside DeShon Elliott and Juan Thornhill.

Clark recorded three tackles (three solo) in the Steelers' win over the Vikings on Sunday. Clark made his second start of the season in the win over Minnesota, but he played a season-low 41 percent of the defensive snaps. With DeShon Elliott (knee) back healthy, Clark is expected to serve in a reserve role behind Elliott and Juan Thornhill.
