Griffin registered three tackles (three solo) and three pass deflections, including an interception, in Minnesota's 31-29 win over the Packers on Sunday. Griffin managed to record an interception for just the second time since 2021. He will look to build off this strong performance against the Jets in a Week 5 matchup in London.

Griffin (hamstring) returned to practice Tuesday, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Griffin hadn't practiced since late July due to the hamstring issue, so expect him to be eased back into action. He's unlikely to play in any preseason games but looks on track to play Week 1 of the regular season. He's expected to start opposite Stephon Gilmore with Byron Murphy Jr. playing in the slot.

Griffin missed Saturday's preseason win over Las Vegas due to a hamstring injury, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Griffin hasn't practiced since late July due to the issue and the severity of the injury isn't clear. The Vikings are struggling with cornerback depth with Byron Murphy coming back from a knee injury, Mekhi Blackmon lost to a torn ACL and the death of 2024 fourth-round draft pick Khyree Jackson in a car accident.

Griffin finished the regular season with six tackles (five solo) and one pass defended in three games for the Panthers. He began the campaign with the Texans, recording 33 tackles (24 solo) and one interception on four passes defended in 10 games. Griffin was cut by Houston despite starting six games. He subsequently started one of his three appearances for Carolina. The former Pro Bowler is now slated to become an unrestricted free agent, leaving his 2024 outlook uncertain until he signs somewhere.

Griffin was claimed off waivers by the Panthers on Thursday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. The move came a day after Griffin was released by the Texans. Griffin started six games for Houston and recorded 33 tackles, four passes defensed and an interception, but he lost his role to second-year cornerback Derek Stingley in recent weeks. The seventh-year veteran should start off as a depth corner for the Panthers.
