The Lions plan to place Moseley (pectoral) on injured reserve, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. According to Schefter, once the move is made, Moseley will be deemed eligible to return to the field at some point this season if he is able. With Moseley sidelined for the foreseeable future, expect Javelin Guidry to serve as Detroit's second-string slot corner.

Moseley (pectoral) suffered a torn pec during Tuesday's practice and is out indefinitely, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Moseley continues to deal with brutal injury luck, after having suffered torn ACLs in each of the last two seasons. The Lions re-signed him on a one-year prove-it contract this offseason, but Moseley's status is now up in the air for the 2024 season. Last year, C.J. Gardner-Johnson (shoulder) suffered a torn pectoral in September while a member of the Lions, and he wasn't able to retake the field until January. Moseley hasn't been given a recovery timetable but doesn't seem likely to be available Week 1 versus the Rams.

Moseley (knee) signed a new one-year contract with the Lions on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Moseley signed a one-year deal with the Lions last offseason while he was recovering from a torn ACL suffered in 2022. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old cornerback suffered the same injury on his second defensive snap of the season when he made his debut with Detroit in Week 5. He will now get another opportunity with the club as it bolsters its secondary for 2024.

Moseley (knee) has been ruled out from returning to Sunday's game against New England. Moseley appeared to hurt his right knee while in pass coverage during the first half and won't be able to return. He was making his 2023 debut Sunday after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee in Week 5 last year. Jerry Jacobs played a near every-down role with Moseley on injured reserve over the first four weeks and should continue to do so Sunday and potentially beyond.

Moseley exited Sunday's game against the Panthers with a knee injury and is questionable to come back in, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports. The cornerback was making his season debut after recovering from an ACL tear and a hamstring injury. Moseley's ACL tear was on his left knee, but it was his right one being examined Sunday. The sixth-year pro suffered the torn ACL last season with the 49ers and then signed a one-year deal with the Lions in the offseason.
