  • The Commanders placed Brown (rib) on injured reserve Tuesday. Brown missed 10 straight games earlier this season while he was on IR due to groin and knee issues, but he was cleared to return to action in Week 14. He lasted just two games before succumbing to another injury, as the Commanders are opting to shut him down for good after he exited Sunday's 29-21 win over the Giants due to a rib issue. The 29-year-old wideout will wrap up his second season in Washington with a 5-83-0 receiving line on 10 targets over just four appearances.

  • Brown won't return to Sunday's game at the Giants due to a rib injury. When Brown exited in the first half, the Commanders listed him with a back issue, which since has been reclassified to a different health concern. With Brown out for the rest of Week 15, Treylon Burks and Jaylin Lane will be the tertiary wide receivers in Washington's offense behind top options Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel.

  • Brown was forced out of Sunday's game against the Giants with a back injury. Prior to his exit, Brown caught his only target for 28 yards. In his absence, Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel, Treylon Burks and Jaylin Lane are available to handle the Commanders' WR duties.

  • Brown caught one of two targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 31-0 loss to the Vikings. Seeing his first action since Week 2 after recovering from multiple lower-body injuries, Brown didn't see much volume with both Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel also healthy ahead of him on the depth chart. The Commanders' QB situation is also unsettled, with Jayden Daniels lasting a little over three quarters in his own return from a dislocated left elbow, but if Marcus Mariota is back under center in Week 15 against the Giants instead, Brown still figures to be a secondary option at best.

  • Brown (groin/knee) practiced in full Wednesday. Brown now has logged two full listings, one limited and one DNP since the Commanders designated him for return from injured reserve last week. Coach Dan Quinn spoke on Brown's ability to return for Sunday's game at Minnesota, telling Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post it's "very much in the green. High." Brown hasn't played since Week 2 due to dueling groin and knee injuries, so it remains to be seen what kind of workload he'll be able to handle once he gains clearance to play again.
