• Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Impressive passing yardage in win

  Mahomes completed 28 of 42 passes for 266 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and added three carries for 19 yards in the Chiefs' 16-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday. Mahomes took four sacks from the aggressive Broncos defense, but he was able to do just enough to give his team a chance to preserve its undefeated mark. The two-time MVP focused a significant deal of attention on Kareem Hunt and Travis Kelce -- the latter of whom was on the receiving end of Mahomes' only touchdown -- as Denver forced plenty of short and intermediate throws, but he still found his way to his third straight 260-plus-yard total. Mahomes and the Chiefs' quest to get to 10-0 intersects with the Bills in a Week 11 road showdown next Sunday.

  Mahomes just had his best game of the season in Week 9 against Tampa Bay with 30.5 Fantasy points, and it's also the first time all year he has consecutive outings with at least 20 Fantasy points (he had 22.2 points at Las Vegas in Week 8). But after facing the Raiders and Buccaneers in back-to-back games, things should get a little tougher against Denver, even at home. Only one quarterback has scored at least 20 Fantasy points against the Broncos this season, which was Lamar Jackson in Week 9. Mahomes combined for just 24.9 Fantasy points against Denver in two games in 2023, and I'm not expecting a big performance from him in Week 10. He's only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

• Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Set for full practice Wednesday

  Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that Mahomes (ankle) will be a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports. Mahomes had a bit of a scare in Monday's 30-24 overtime win over the Buccaneers, as he appeared to roll his left ankle during his second touchdown pass of the game early in the fourth quarter. Though he required assistance off the field, Mahomes was able to return for the Chiefs' next possession and didn't wind up missing any snaps on the night, despite having to play through some pain the rest of the way. With further evaluation after the game apparently turning up nothing concerning, Mahomes doesn't look as though he'll face any limitations heading into the Chiefs' Week 10 game against the Broncos on Sunday.

  Mahomes completed 34 of 44 pass attempts for 291 yards and three touchdowns while rushing twice for nine yards in Monday's 30-24 overtime win over Tampa Bay. Mahomes rolled his left ankle while completing a shovel pass for his second passing touchdown of the evening, promptly visiting the medical tent while his teammates celebrated the score. Luckily, the durable signal-caller showed his toughness yet again, returning to the game without missing a play in a successful effort to finish off the Buccaneers in overtime. With a short week ahead, fantasy managers should monitor Mahomes' practice participation ahead of a Week 10 matchup against the Broncos.

  Mahomes completed 16 of 27 pass attempts for 154 yards, no passing touchdowns and two interceptions while rushing five times for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-18 win over the 49ers. Mahomes produced his worst passing performance through six games this season, but he salvaged his fantasy day by generating his best rushing line against San Francisco in a rematch of last year's Super Bowl. The deceptively fast quarterback performed a ball fake on a scramble that allowed him to split three defenders for 33 yards. Mahomes finished off that same drive by trucking the only defender that stood between him and the end zone for his first rushing touchdown of the season. The Chiefs remain undefeated heading into a soft road matchup against the Raiders next Sunday.
