• Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: QBs to Start

  We haven't said many positive things this season about Mahomes as a Fantasy quarterback since he has scored more than 20 Fantasy points just four times. But three of those have come in the past four games, and hopefully he's getting hot at the right time as the Fantasy playoffs are approaching. Mahomes should take advantage of the Panthers this week since Carolina is No. 7 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. This is a game where Mahomes, in theory, should pad his stats.

  Mahomes completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 196 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions without recording a carry in Sunday's 30-21 loss to Buffalo. Mahomes threw a pair of interceptions that proved to be costly in Sunday's marquee matchup between superstar quarterbacks. While Josh Allen got the win for his club, Mahomes provided fantasy managers with his second game with three touchdown passes over the Chiefs' last three contests. In addition to this game representing Kansas City's first loss of the season, it was also Mahomes' first appearance in 2024 without recording a rushing attempt. No longer undefeated, Mahomes and the Chiefs should be locked in for a soft matchup against Carolina next Sunday.

  Mahomes was great in two games against the Raiders and Buccaneers prior to Week 11 with at least 22.2 Fantasy points in each outing. But he reverted back to being a mediocre Fantasy quarterback in Week 11 against Denver with 18.5 Fantasy points, and I expect something similar in Week 12 at Buffalo. The Bills are No. 8 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only three guys have scored at least 21.5 Fantasy points against Buffalo this season. Mahomes should only be started in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.

• Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Impressive passing yardage in win

  Mahomes completed 28 of 42 passes for 266 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and added three carries for 19 yards in the Chiefs' 16-14 win over the Broncos on Sunday. Mahomes took four sacks from the aggressive Broncos defense, but he was able to do just enough to give his team a chance to preserve its undefeated mark. The two-time MVP focused a significant deal of attention on Kareem Hunt and Travis Kelce -- the latter of whom was on the receiving end of Mahomes' only touchdown -- as Denver forced plenty of short and intermediate throws, but he still found his way to his third straight 260-plus-yard total. Mahomes and the Chiefs' quest to get to 10-0 intersects with the Bills in a Week 11 road showdown next Sunday.

  Mahomes just had his best game of the season in Week 9 against Tampa Bay with 30.5 Fantasy points, and it's also the first time all year he has consecutive outings with at least 20 Fantasy points (he had 22.2 points at Las Vegas in Week 8). But after facing the Raiders and Buccaneers in back-to-back games, things should get a little tougher against Denver, even at home. Only one quarterback has scored at least 20 Fantasy points against the Broncos this season, which was Lamar Jackson in Week 9. Mahomes combined for just 24.9 Fantasy points against Denver in two games in 2023, and I'm not expecting a big performance from him in Week 10. He's only worth starting in Superflex and two-quarterback leagues.
