Mostert's reception total was a new season high, yet it's clear he's a distant second fiddle, at best, to De'Von Achane in Miami's unproductive ground attack barring an injury to the latter.

After limited practices Wednesday and Thursday, Mostert got in a full session Friday and is ready to return following a one-game absence. It's been a challenging 2024 for the 32-year-old running back, as he's compiled a 65-236-2 rushing line while averaging a career-low 3.6 yards per carry. He'll help spell De'Von Achane versus Houston.

Mostert has been limited in practice as of late due to a hip injury, the same issue that forced him to sit out Week 14 against the Jets. Even if he's active at Houston on Sunday, Mostert's opportunity share isn't guaranteed to bring fantasy relevance. The veteran back has combined for just 10 carries for 22 yards across his last four appearances, in addition to five grabs for 46 yards on seven targets.

  Mostert (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Mostert was a limited participant in practice throughout last week before he was inactive for Sunday's overtime win over the Jets. With that in mind, he'll likely need to upgrade to full practice participation by Friday in order to approach this weekend's game against the Texans without an injury designation. If Mostert remains sidelined, however, added snaps out of the backfield would be available to reserve backs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson.
