Jackson recorded 10 total tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Broncos. The first-year Panther was one of three players with double-digit stops in Sunday's loss, tying Josey Jewell as the team's second-leading tackler behind Demani Richardson's 11-stop effort. Jackson has now recorded 43 total tackles and six passes defended, including one interception, across the Panthers' first eight games this season. He's expected to continue starting opposite Jaycee Horn as part of Carolina's top outside-cornerback duo in Week 9, when the Panthers host the Saints.

Jackson logged nine total tackles (all solo) and defended three passes, including one interception, during Sunday's 36-22 win over the Raiders. Jackson had one of the best games of his six-year NFL career Sunday, as he lead the Panthers in total tackles and passes defended while also picking off Gardner Minshew in the fourth quarter. The first-year Panther has impressed through his first three games in Carolina, recording 17 total tackles and four passes defended over 186 defensive snaps. Expect Jackson to continue lining up opposite Jaycee Horn, creating problems for opposing quarterbacks as the season progresses.

Head coach Dave Canales told reporters Wednesday that Jackson is expected to start opposite Jaycee Horn as the Panthers' top boundary cornerbacks, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Jackson and Canales spent some time together while Canales was an assistant on Seattle's coaching staff, and he's already overtaken Dane Jackson as one of the Panthers' starting corners just six days after being traded to Carolina. The 27-year-old has been reliable over the past two seasons, appearing in all 34 of the Seahawks' regular-season games and recording 109 total tackles and 17 passes defended, including one interception.

The Panthers acquired Jackson from the Seahawks on Thursday in exchange for linebacker Michael Barrett, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. The 27-year-old cornerback has appeared in all 34 of the Seahawks' regular-season games since 2022, recording 109 total tackles and 17 passes defended, including one interception. Jackson is expected to add depth to a Panthers secondary that already ranked third in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (171.5 yards) in 2023. He could even find himself starting if Dane Jackson (hamstring) isn't ready for the team's regular-season opener Sep. 8 against the Saints.

Jackson signed his contract with the Seahawks as a restricted free agent Monday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Jackson started all 17 regular-season games for Seattle in 2022, though he logged just four starts in 2023 (while recording 34 tackles) despite the same amount of appearances. The 2019 fifth-rounder figures to reprise a key defensive role at cornerback with the Seahawks during the 2024 campaign.
