• Bengals' Joe Burrow: QBs to Start

  Burrow had a successful return in Week 13 at Baltimore from his nine-game absence with a toe injury with 24-of-46 passing for 261 yards and two touchdowns, and he scored 23.2 Fantasy points. He doesn't have an easy matchup in Week 14 at Buffalo, but I still like Burrow as a top-10 Fantasy quarterback. The Bills are No. 2 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, and only Lamar Jackson in Week 1 has scored more than 20 Fantasy points against this defense, including matchups with Drake Maye, Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield. That said, this is more about having faith in Burrow, who should be throwing a lot. His player prop on FanDuel is 35.5 attempts, and in 13 games over the past two seasons with at least 36 attempts, he is averaging 29.8 Fantasy points, with only two games under 21.2 points over that span.

  Burrow completed 24 of 46 passes for 261 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while rushing three times for eight yards in the Bengals' 32-14 win over the Ravens on Thursday night. Making his return from a nine-game absence, Burrow shook off rust as the game went on and put together a strong fantasy performance overall highlighted by 14- and 29-yard touchdown passes to Tanner Hudson and Andrei Iosivas, respectively. Burrow spread the ball around to nine different pass catchers overall, with Ja'Marr Chase unsurprisingly garnering the majority of his attention in the form of 14 targets in the absence of Tee Higgins (concussion). Burrow helped lead the Bengals to 20 second-half points and also benefited from a standout performance by his team's oft-maligned defense, infusing some badly needed momentum ahead of a Week 14 road showdown against Josh Allen and the Bills on Sunday, Dec. 7.

  Burrow has been out since Week 2 with a toe injury, but he's ready to return Thursday night at Baltimore. I'm expecting him to perform as a low-end starter in all leagues, but we all know he has the potential to be much better than that, especially against the Ravens. In two games against Baltimore last year, Burrow passed for 820 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception, and he scored at least 41.7 Fantasy points in each outing. There's the risk of rust given the long layoff, and Tee Higgins (concussion) is out. That said, Burrow has too much upside to avoid, and I'm going to start him in this prime-time matchup.

  The Bengals activated Burrow (toe) from injured reserve Wednesday. Reports a few weeks ago said Burrow was targeting the Thanksgiving Day game at Baltimore for his return to action. It's now playing out that way, with Burrow having been officially activated after being listed as a full practice participant Monday and Tuesday. He may not have his usual mobility, and definitely won't have Tee Higgins (concussion), but Burrow nonetheless remains a weekly candidate to lead the league in pass attempts and yardage. He said Tuesday that he plans to continue playing down the stretch this season even if it becomes clear that Cincinnati's slim playoff hopes have dwindled to nothing, ESPN's Ben Baby reports.

  Burrow (toe) was a full participant at practice Tuesday. Burrow has now been listed as a full participant on four of the Bengals' last five practice reports. The quarterback remains on injured reserve for the time being, but assuming his surgically repaired toe holds up well coming out of Tuesday's session, the Bengals could confirm Wednesday that he'll return to action Thursday against the Ravens. Burrow has sat out Cincinnati's last nine games following surgery.
