The Bengals waived Tell (undisclosed) from injured reserve Tuesday. After spending the first two games of the 2023 season on injured reserve, Tell is now set to become a free agent. He hasn't played in the regular season since 2019.

Indianapolis re-signed Tell (undisclosed) to a contract Monday, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports. Tell appears back to full health after having suffered an undisclosed injury back in October. Though Tell hasn't logged any NFL action since making 13 appearances as a rookie in 2019, he has since been a regular on the Colts' practice squad.

Tell exited Sunday's preseason win over the Panthers with a groin injury, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. Tell logged two solo tackles in the preseason opener but was one of two Colts cornerbacks to leave the contest early due to an injury. The 25-year-old opted out of the 2020 campaign due to COVID-19 concerns, and the severity of his groin injury isn't yet clear.

Tell recorded a pair of solo tackles before hurting his groin in Sunday's 21-18 preseason win over the Panthers. Tell opted out of the entirety of last season, and now the 2019 firth-rounder will have to gut through an injury as he attempts to make the regular-season roster. In 13 games as a rookie two years ago, he totaled 26 tackles, five pass defenses and one forced fumble.
