We keep waiting for Kirk to become a factor for the Jaguars and Fantasy managers, but he's basically been invisible for the first two games of the season against Miami and Cleveland. Kirk has seven targets combined in those two games for two catches, 29 yards and no touchdowns. Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis are outplaying Kirk, and he didn't get any boost in Week 2 against the Browns with Evan Engram (hamstring) out. Buffalo's secondary has held Marvin Harrison Jr., Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to a combined eight catches for 69 yards and no touchdowns on 13 targets in two games, and this could be another poor outing for Kirk in Week 3.

Kirk recorded one catch on three targets for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 18-13 loss to the Browns. Kirk was targeted less than Gabe Davis, Brenton Strange and Brian Thomas, and he now has only two receptions for 29 yards through two games. His slow start can be blamed at least in part on Jacksonville's sluggish offensive performances, as the team mustered only 81 yards in the first half and was then reliant on deep shots to move the ball in the second quarter. Kirk has played a key role for the Jaguars' offense in each of the last two years, so it would be a surprise to not see him bounce back, though he will be tough to trust heading into a Week 3 matchup against Buffalo.

Kirk had a rough game in Week 1 at Miami, with only one catch for 30 yards on four targets. The CBS broadcast kept referencing the calf injury he dealt with in training camp, so hopefully, he'll be closer to 100 percent in Week 2 against Cleveland. I would start rookie Brian Thomas Jr. ahead of Kirk this week, but I still like Kirk as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver. Last year, he had a bad Week 1 at the Colts with 1.9 PPR points, but he rebounded with 21.9 PPR points in Week 2 against Kansas City. Hopefully, something similar happens this week.

Kirk brought in one of four targets for 30 yards in the Jaguars' 20-17 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday. With Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones now elsewhere, Kirk was expected to fill a true No. 1 role for Trevor Lawrence, at least early in the season. However, that didn't exactly come to fruition Sunday, with Kirk unable to follow up his early second-quarter chunk play. Kirk did finish tied for the team lead in targets, but the entire passing game could be more productive in a Week 2 home opener against a Browns team that played much less effective defense on the road than it did at home last season.

I'm glad Kirk is no longer dealing with a calf injury, and hopefully he's 100 percent ready for Week 1. I like Brian Thomas Jr. as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver against the Dolphins, but Kirk is a borderline starter in all leagues. When healthy, he should be the go-to option for Trevor Lawrence, and this should be a good week for the Jaguars passing game since Miami's pass rush could be sluggish without Bradley Chubb (ACL) and potentially Jaelen Phillips (Achilles). Kirk has top-20 upside in PPR given this matchup.
