  • Titans' L'Jarius Sneed: Dealt to Music City
    By RotoWire

Sneed was traded to the Titans on Friday in exchange for a 2025 third-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Sneed and Tennessee are expected to work out a new contract once the trade is finalized. The Chiefs placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on him prior to free agency before granting the cornerback permission to seek a trade and speak with teams around the league. That ultimately led to a deal with the Titans, where Sneed will presumably slot into the No. 1 cornerback role heading into the 2024 campaign.

  • The Chiefs are expected to use their franchise tag Sneed prior to the March 5 deadline, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per Rapoport, the Chiefs have yet to officially apply their franchise tag on the cornerback, and in the meantime, Sneed reportedly has permission to seek a trade. In his fourth NFL season in 2023, the 2020 fourth-round pick recorded 78 tackles and two interceptions in 16 games for the Chiefs.

  • Sneed (calf) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Sneed has been featured on Chiefs injury reports in recent weeks due to the calf issue, but aside from sitting out Week 18 when Kansas City rested several of its key regulars in advance of the postseason, the fourth-year cornerback hasn't missed any time. Assuming he upgrades to full practice participation by Friday, Sneed should avoid an injury designation for Sunday's AFC Championship Game matchup with the Ravens.

  • Sneed (calf) was a full participant at practice Wednesday. Sneed was sidelined for Kansas City's regular-season finale due to a calf injury, but it now looks like he'll suit up in the wild-card round. His availability should be a big boost to a defense preparing to line up across from Tyreek Hill (ankle) and Jaylen Waddle (ankle).

  • Sneed tallied three tackles (two solo) against the Bengals in a 25-17 win Sunday. Sneed entered Sunday as a game-time decision due to a calf injury but was ultimately able to suit up and play all 71 of the Chiefs' defensive snaps. Though he tallied a modest three stops for the second straight week, the standout cornerback was instrumental in holding Ja'Marr Chase to three catches on seven targets for 41 yards. Kansas City is locked into the No. 3 playoff seed in the AFC, so the team may opt to rest Sneed -- especially if his calf is still a concern -- in the regular-season finale Sunday versus the Chargers.
