  • Brooks (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Brooks logged just one practice this week Friday, in a limited capacity. The weakside linebacker seems to have rallied back from his foot injury and will be able to start Sunday's game. However, Willie Gay may see an increased snap share if Brooks is unable to manage his normal workload due to any remaining injury.

  • Brooks (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Bengals, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports. Brooks participated in practice for the first time this week, Friday, in a limited fashion. He will have a chance to suit up for Sunday's matchup against the Bengals. The 28-year-old has 155 tackles (88 solo), including 3.5 sacks, one pass breakup and one forced fumble in 14 games this season. Willie Gay will likely get more reps behind Tyrel Dodson if Brooks is unable to play.

  • Brooks (foot) did not participate at practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Brooks recorded 13 tackles including a sack in Week 15 at Pittsburgh, but it appears he may have picked up an injury in the process. • Brooks recorded 12 tackles (six solo) in the Dolphins' win over the Bills on Sunday. Brooks' dozen tackles easily paced the Dolphins and marked his fifth time this season recording double-digit stops. Brooks entered Week 10 with an NFL-high 93 tackles, and he's now up to 105 tackles (61 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery across 10 contests.

  • Brooks recorded 10 total tackles (seven solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's 34-10 win over the Falcons. Brooks did it all in Sunday's win, leading the Dolphins' defense in total tackles, tackles for loss (three) and sacks. He didn't play 100 percent of the Dolphins' defensive snaps for the second consecutive week, but that's likely due to the second-half blowout. The veteran linebacker has now logged 85 total tackles (most in the NFL), including 2.5 sacks, over Miami's first eight games this season. He's expected to remain one of the NFL's premier inside linebackers and a viable IDP option in the Week 9 matchup against the Ravens.
