Jacobs (knee/ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. After sitting out Tuesday's walkthrough due to lingering knee and ankle injuries, Jacobs told Ryan Wood of USA Today that he intends to play Saturday at Chicago, adding, "For me, it's harder to watch games than it is to play hurt." Jacobs had a significant limp in the locker room Tuesday while also wearing a knee brace, but if he follows a similar practice regimen to last week, he'd log a limited practice Thursday before being listed as questionable for Week 16 action. With Chris Brooks (chest) limited this week, Emanuel Wilson is the only healthy RB on the Packers' active roster.

Jacobs, who was a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice due to knee and ankle injuries, said after the session that he intends to play Saturday against the Bears, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports. "For me, it's harder to watch games than it is to play hurt," Jacobs said. The ankle issue is a new concern for Jacobs, but he's been managing stiffness and swelling in his left knee since exiting the Packers' Week 11 win over the Giants. After sitting out a Week 12 win over the Vikings, Jacobs has returned to serve as the Packers' lead back for each of the last three games, but he aggravated the knee injury early in this past Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Broncos. Jacobs proceeded to play through the issue and finished with 92 total yards and two touchdowns on 14 touches, but he was still feeling banged up as of Tuesday and was sporting a significant limp while moving about the locker room and addressing the media. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, head coach Matt LaFleur was less firm than Jacobs in his expectation of the running back playing Saturday, though LaFleur noted that Jacobs is "as tough as they come" and shouldn't be counted out from suiting up Week 16. The Packers' final two practice reports of the week should provide more insight into Jacobs' chances of playing Saturday.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said that Jacobs played through a knee injury in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Broncos and wouldn't have participated Tuesday if the Packers had held a traditional practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Since missing a Week 12 win over the Vikings, Jacobs has suited up for each of Green Bay's last three games but has been listed on the injury report each time. The running back's condition doesn't seem to have improved after LaFleur said that he absorbed another big hit to the knee on a short-yardage carry early in Sunday's loss to Denver. The coach noted that Jacobs is "as tough as they come" and will have a chance to play against the Bears in Chicago on Saturday with the NFC North lead on the line, but at the very least, the 27-year-old is likely to have his practice activity heavily managed once again.

Jacobs rushed the ball 12 times for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Broncos. He added two receptions on three targets for 19 yards and a touchdown. Jacobs' status for this matchup looked to be in doubt for much of the week, as he didn't take the practice field until Friday due to a knee injury. However, he popped for several big plays against the Broncos, including a 40-yard rushing touchdown and an impressive 14-yard score on a contested catch in the corner of the end zone. After being reliant upon touchdowns and volume for long stretches early in the season, Jacobs has recorded a gain of at least 20 yards on the ground in three straight contests. He also has at least 70 rushing yards in five of his last six games.

Jacobs (knee) is listed as active Sunday at Denver, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports. Jacobs has been tending to a knee injury since he sustained it during a Week 11 win at the Giants, sitting out Week 12 but leading the Packers backfield the last two games. He then experienced renewed stiffness and swelling in the knee in the wake of last Sunday's victory against the Bears, sitting out practice Wednesday and Thursday before logging a limited session Friday. Despite Jacobs being tagged as questionable entering the weekend, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday evening that he was expected to play Week 15, which has been confirmed. With No. 2 RB Emanuel Wilson dealing with an illness but still active Sunday, Jacobs should be Green Bay's primary option out of the backfield, while Chris Brooks also is on hand for snaps.
