  • Mitchell caught one of six targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 34-10 loss to the Dolphins. Mitchell cooled off after his breakout performance against the Falcons in the previous game, though he wasn't helped by subpar quarterback play from third-stringer Brady Cook, who replaced Tyrod Taylor (groin) in the first half. Mitchell caught eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta but has caught only four of 19 targets for 76 yards across three other appearances for the Jets. His target volume has been encouraging, but the inconsistent wide receiver's floor will remain low in Week 15 against the Jaguars, especially if the Jets start Cook or Justin Fields (knee) under center.

  • Jets' Adonai Mitchell: WRs to Sit
    By Jamey Eisenberg

I'll take the chance on Mitchell as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in the majority of leagues in Week 14 against Miami with the hope that his production in Week 13 against Atlanta is a sign of things to come. He had eight catches for 102 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets against the Falcons, and he scored 24.2 PPR points. Mitchell now has 25 targets in three games with the Jets, but keep in mind that prior to facing Atlanta, Mitchell combined for three catches for 52 yards. The Dolphins have allowed six receivers to score at least 11.4 PPR points in their past four games, with five touchdowns over that span, and Mitchell will hopefully continue to see plenty of targets from Tyrod Taylor in this matchup.

  • All year long we have lamented the weakness of the wide receiver position. In Week 14 the rarest of things could save us. We have a player who is 5% rostered who is top six in target share over the past three weeks and just finished as WR6 in Week 13. Mitchell is a an outstanding route runner who seemingly always gets open and often disappoints when the ball comes his way. He is the top waiver add at any position this week and worth whatever FAB you have left if you are desperate at wide receiver. Over the next three weeks he faces the Dolphins, the Saints, and the Jaguars. Those aren't all great matchups on paper, but there isn't a shutdown corner in his future.

  • Mitchell has been getting targets since joining the Jets via trade from the Colts, but he finally delivered on those chances in Week 13 against Atlanta. He had eight catches for 102 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets, and he scored 24.2 PPR points. He now has 25 targets in three games with the Jets, but prior to facing the Falcons, Mitchell combined for three catches for 52 yards. He's going to be inconsistent, but the Jets will likely continue to feature him, at least until Garrett Wilson (knee) returns, which could be as early as Week 15. For now, it's a good idea to stash Mitchell in all leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB, and we'll see how he does in Week 14 against Miami. Mitchell could emerge as a starter in three-receiver leagues to close the season.

  • Mitchell caught eight of 12 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Falcons. Mitchell burned Mike Hughes for a 52-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and the 23-year-old wide receiver drew a 27-yard pass interference penalty on A.J. Terrell in the first quarter, in addition to accounting for 102 of Tyrod Taylor's 172 passing yards. The Jets acquired Mitchell from the Colts along with two first-round picks for Sauce Gardner, who suffered a calf injury Sunday against the Texans. Indianapolis' 2024 second-round pick has drawn 25 targets in three games with the Jets while increasing his receiving yard totals from 10 yards to 42 to 102. Mitchell has shown promising ability to create separation despite drops and inconsistent quarterback play weighing down his effectiveness, making him an intriguing Week 14 fantasy option, even against a Dolphins secondary that has been stingy against wide receivers.
