Davis carried the ball eight times for 21 yards and a touchdown and caught two of three targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Vikings. Javonte Williams picked up a shoulder injury on the Cowboys' opening drive that cost him the rest of the first half, and in his absence Davis punched in a one-yard TD in the second quarter. The two backs then split backfield duties after Williams' return to begin the second half. Davis has gotten into the end zone twice in the last three games, but Sunday's 10 touches were a season high, and his fantasy appeal will be low as long as Williams is healthy. If the shoulder issue proves to be a limiting factor for Dallas' RB1, however, Davis could see elevated volume again Week 16 against the Chargers.

Davis gained six rushing yards on three carries in Thursday's loss to the Lions. For the fourth straight game, Davis saw either three or four totes while working as the No. 2 back for the Cowboys behind Javonte Williams. Thursday's production was by far his lowest during that stretch, however -- a disappointing showing after he broke free for a 43-yard TD in Week 13. As long as Williams remains healthy, Davis will remain little more than a dart throw for fantasy purposes.

Davis has established himself as the No. 2 running back in Dallas behind Javonte Williams, and Davis is worth stashing in all leagues for 1 percent of your remaining FAB. If Williams were to miss any time then Davis would be at least a flex option in all formats.

Davis turned three carries into 47 yards and a touchdown during the Cowboys' 31-28 win over the Chiefs on Thursday. Davis played just nine snaps on offense compared to Javonte Williams' 56, but the former helped give the Cowboys a 17-14 lead in the second quarter with a 43-yard touchdown run. With rookie fifth-rounder Jaydon Blue a healthy scratch for each of Dallas' last four games, Davis appears to be fully entrenched as the RB2 behind Williams, though the latter figures to still serve as the team's workhorse out of the backfield. Davis has logged 10 carries for 91 yards across three games since the Cowboys' Week 10 bye.

The Cowboys signed Davis to their active roster off the practice squad Saturday. Davis logged a season-high 19 percent offensive snap share and turned in campaign-high marks with four carries for 20 yards last Sunday against Las Vegas. He reverted back to the Cowboys' practice squad Wednesday, but Dallas has now decided to sign him to the active roster. Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News speculates that Davis will take on the No. 2 RB role behind Javonte Williams, which is how he had been deployed the past two weeks. Jaydon Blue thus seems marked for third in the RB pecking order.
