The fourth-year safety has produced at least eight stops in three straight games after failing to do so in any of his first 10 contests of the campaign. Blankenship's surge has pushed him up to 72 tackles through 13 games -- he notched 78 stops in 15 regular-season contests last year.

Blankenship tallied 14 tackles (eight solo) Friday in a Week 13 loss to Chicago. Blankenship led the Eagles in stops while recording easily his highest mark of the season. His previous campaign-best mark was eight tackles last week against Dallas, and Friday marked his first regular-season performance of double-digit stops since Week 11 of last year. Blankenship is up to 64 tackles and four defensed passes, including an interception, though 12 contests in 2025.

Blankenship is clear of an injury designation ahead of Friday's matchup against the Bears. Blankenship (thigh) was a limited participant in Philadelphia's practice Wednesday. Blankenship sustained a thigh injury during the Week 12 loss versus Dallas and has now been limited in two straight practice sessions. While the 26-year-old will look to be good to go for Friday's game versus the Bears, Michael Carter should get the start at safety if Blankenship ends up being unable to play.

Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Tuesday that he expects Blankenship (thigh) to play Friday against the Bears, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Blankenship was injured in last Sunday's loss to the Cowboys and was walking with a pretty significant limp following his exit, but it sounds like he avoided a major injury. With Andrew Mukuba suffering a fractured ankle in the same game, getting Blankenship back for Week 13 will be huge for the back end of the Philly defense.
