Blankenship recorded eight tackles (six solo) and a pass defensed during Sunday's 37-17 win at Cincinnati. Blankenship's eight tackles Sunday were the most he's managed in a game since Week 2 versus the Falcons (10). He continued to show competence in coverage though, tallying his fourth pass breakup of the year. He'll be on the fringe of the IDP radar in Week 9 versus the Jaguars.

Blankenship (illness) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report. Blankenship was forced to leave the Eagles' Week 4 game against the Buccaneers due to an illness. Philadelphia was on a bye for Week 5, and the additional rest has allowed Blankenship to to recover from his ailment. Through four regular-season games, Blankenship has recorded 25 tackles (19 solo) and three passes defended (two interceptions).

Blankenship exited late in the first half and ultimately will not return. The absence of the Middle Tennessee product will remain a blow to the Eagles' secondary but will continue leading to extra opportunities for Tristin McCollum.

Blankenship has 20 tackles and two interceptions through three games in 2024. He recorded over 100 tackles for the first time last season.
