  • Commanders' Alex Armah: Won't play Sunday
    By RotoWire

Armah (coach's decision) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. Armah avoided an injury designation after sitting out the previous two games with a hamstring injury, but he'll end up being a healthy scratch Sunday versus Miami.

  • Armah (hamstring) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game versus the Dolphins, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. Armah will return to action in Week 13 after he sat out of Washington's last two games due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 10 at Seattle. He figures to see around 5-to-10 offensive snaps as a lead blocker Sunday.

  • Armah (hamstring) is listed as out for Thursday's game at the Cowboys. Armah will sit out his second straight game in Week 12 as he nurses a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 10 at Seattle. The Commanders gave 2021 fourth-round tight end John Bates a season-high 44 offensive snaps in Week 11 with Armah out, suggesting Bates might be the prime beneficiary of Armah's absence in terms of playing time.

Armah has primarily played on special teams and as a lead blocker on offense this season. The Commanders' run game will take a hit if Armah is unable to return to Sunday's game.

  • Armah was signed to the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. After being released by the team while dealing with an undisclosed injury to open the season, Armah will return to Washington's practice unit Wednesday. The fullback played in 11 games last season with New Orleans and Washington, turning five carries into 21 yards while reeling in a one-yard touchdown catch over 70 offensive snaps. Armah will provide additional backfield depth behind the likes of Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson.
