Tryon-Shoyinka recorded two tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Tampa Bay's 37-20 win over the Commanders on Sunday. The starting outside linebacker provided modest production, but his sack gave his IDP value a slight boost. Tryon-Shoyinka made a career-high 45 tackles, including 5.0 sacks, for the Buccaneers during the 2023 regular season.

Tron-Shoyinka (shoulder) practiced in full during Wednesday's session. Tryon-Shoyinka has been dealing with a shoulder sprain since early August, which kept him out of the Bucs' three preseason games. Now that he's healthy, the 2021 first-round pick will serve as Tampa Bay's starting outside linebacker opposite Yaya Diaby. Tryon-Shoyinka finished the 2023 regular season with 45 tackles (28 solo), including a career-high 5.0 sacks, across 17 games.

Tryon-Shoyinka recorded 45 tackles (28 solo), including 5.0 sacks, a pass defensed, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery across 17 regular-season games in 2023. He added four stops (two solo) in two postseason contests. The 2021 first-round pick did set new personal bests in tackles and sacks while forcing and recording the first turnovers of his career. However, Tryon-Shoyinka still struggled with consistency in terms of getting to the quarterback, recording only two sacks after Week 6 despite remaining healthy throughout the campaign. Tryon-Shoyinka also posted four or fewer tackles in 18 of 19 total games, and he saw third-round rookie YaYa Diaby outperform him and eventually take over the starting left outside linebacker role. Tryon-Shoyinka has one year remaining on his rookie contract, and considering his experience in Todd Bowles' defensive system, he should play a solid rotational role, at minimum, in 2024.

Tryon-Shoyinka recorded four tackles (three solo), including a sack, and also defensed a pass in the Buccaneers' 20-6 loss to the Lions on Sunday. Tryon-Shoyinka snapped a two-game sackless streak with a second-quarter takedown of Jared Goff. Tryon-Shoyinka's four tackles also tied a season high, but the third-year linebacker is yet to truly live up to his pedigree as a 2021 first-round pick despite Todd Bowles' aggressive scheme setting its linebackers up for plenty of pass-rushing opportunities.

Tryon-Shoyinka posted four tackles, including two sacks, and logged an additional quarterback hit in the Buccaneers' 27-17 win over the Bears on Sunday. The third-year edge rusher recorded the second multi-sack game of his career, with the first having come way back in Week 4 of his rookie 2021 campaign. Tryon-Shoyinka has struggled to fully live up to his first-round pedigree over his first pair of seasons, but he was expected to take a big step forward in 2023 after an impressive training camp. While his momentum didn't carry over into the regular-season opener -- Tryon-Shoyinka posted just two total tackles in that win over the Vikings -- perhaps his effort against the Bears will serve as a launch pad for a surge in production.
