Werner registered six tackles (five solo) in Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants. Werner has logged at least five tackles in each of the Saints' last six games. He's up to 63 tackles (43 solo) and one pass defense across 10 regular-season games. Werner and the Saints' defense weren't really tested against the Giants, but they'll have their hands full against a Commanders team that put up 42 points against the Titans in Week 13.

Werner (hand) is active for Sunday's game against Cleveland. After logging consecutive DNPs to open the week due to a hand injury, Werner was able to practice in a limited capacity Friday, which is good enough for him to suit up for Sunday's contest. Over his last three outings, Werner has logged 22 tackles (16 solo) and one pass defense.

Werner (hand) is questionable for Sunday's contest against the Browns, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports. Werner is expected to be a game-time decision, Jeff Nowak of Audacy Sports reports. The Saints want to make sure Werner can't do any further damage to the hand before clearing him to play. Werner missed three games earlier in the season with a hamstring issue.

Werner (hand) didn't practice Wednesday. Werner played 49 defensive snaps and recorded five total tackles and one pass defended before exiting Sunday's win over the Falcons with a hand injury. Wednesday's DNP suggests that issue could be serious, and the Ohio State product will likely have to upgrade to at least limited participation Thursday or Friday in order to suit up in Week 11, when the Saints host the Browns.
