The latter is expected to miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury suffered in Friday's practice, opening up a prime window for Smith to shine as the No. 1 option in Philadelphia. Smith's next opportunity will come in a road matchup against the Saints on Sunday.

Though No. 3 wideout Jahan Dotson should benefit the most in terms of an increase in snaps while Brown is out Monday, Smith has a good chance at clearing double-digit targets in the absence of the three-time Pro Bowler. Since joining the Eagles ahead of the 2022 season, Brown has yet to miss a game, so Monday will mark the first time that Smith has had a chance to serve as Philadelphia's clear No. 1 receiver since his 2021 rookie campaign.

Friday's tilt at Corinthians Arena in Brazil featured multiple strong fantasy scores for both sides after 63 points were put on the board. Smith finished with Philadelphia's fourth-highest score for fantasy purposes after all seven of his receptions failed to cross the goal line. The 25-year-old wideout hasn't eclipsed seven touchdowns in any of his three seasons as a pro, but he has proven to be a reliable target opposite A.J. Brown (5-119-1 on Friday) that fantasy managers can rely on for consistent production, especially for those in PPR formats. Smith will look for that first score of the season in a home matchup against the Falcons in Week 2.

  Smith didn't play in Thursday's 14-13 preseason win over the Patriots. Smith has yet to appear in the 2024 preseason, which is also the case for Philadelphia's other key skill players. After signing a three-year, $75 million extension in April, Smith will look to build on a strong first three NFL regular seasons in which he averaged 1,059 receiving yards and 6.3 TDs per year. If Smith plays in the preseason finale against the Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 24, it likely won't be for more than a few drives.

  Smith agreed to terms Monday to a three-year, $75 million extension with the Eagles, Ian Rapaport of NFL Network reports Smith's extension reportedly includes $51 million guaranteed, though the exact terms remain to be disclosed. That keeps the young wideout linked to Philly through the 2028 season, with Zach Bergman of The Athletic reporting that the team is additionally exercising Smith's fifth-year option. Smith remains in a plus fantasy situation alongside fellow WR A.J. Brown as one of the go-to passing options for quarterback Jalen Hurts along with tight end Dallas Goedert and new running back Saquon Barkley.
