• Titans' Carnell Tate: Expected back after bye

  Tate (shoulder) will not play against the Bengals on Sunday but is expected to be back in action following the Titans' bye for Week 10 against the Jaguars on Sunday, Nov. 15, Paul Kuharsky of PaulKuharsky.com reports. Tate was held out of practice all week while nursing a shoulder injury, but the rookie fourth-overall pick will have the benefit of extra rest courtesy of the Titans' Week 9 bye. Tate leads the Titans pass catchers with 34 catches (on 51 targets) for 413 yards and a touchdown through seven regular-season games, and in his absence, quarterback Cam Ward will have to rely more heavily on the likes of Wan'Dale Robinson, Calvin Ridley (shoulder), Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike, with tight end Gunnar Helm also in the mix for a bump in targets.

  Tate (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports. After missing practice throughout the week, Tate now will be unavailable for Sunday's contest. His absence should open up snaps at wide receiver for Elic Ayomanor and Chimere Dike alongside slot man Wan'Dale Robinson. Veteran Calvin Ridley (hip) will also be an option, assuming he's healthy enough to play.

  Titans head coach Robert Saleh said that Tate won't practice Wednesday due to a shoulder injury, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. During this past Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Browns, Tate made a visit in the medical tent on the sideline during the fourth quarter after he tackled hard to the ground at the end of a reception, per Davenport. The rookie wideout ended up missing just one snap before checking back into the contest and finished the day with five catches for 69 yards on seven targets. While Saleh didn't indicate that the shoulder issue was a major concern, Tate's practice activity will warrant monitoring over the next few days before the Titans make a call on his availability for Sunday's game in Cincinnati.

  Tate caught five of seven targets for 69 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Browns. The rookie wideout was once again Cam Ward's top downfield option, leading the Titans in catches and receiving yards and tying Elic Ayomanor for the lead in targets. Tate has made five or more receptions in four of the last five games, amassing a 27-348-1 line on 40 targets during that span. He'll look to keep rolling in a Week 8 tilt against the Bengals.

  Tate scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 6 at Indianapolis, and he has now scored at least 11.8 PPR points in three of his past four games. The Browns have allowed at least one receiver to score at least 12.3 PPR points in five of six games this season, and Tate is worth trusting as a No. 2 Fantasy receiver in all leagues. I also like Wan'Dale Robinson as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in PPR, and he has scored at least 11 PPR points in three of his past four games. For the season, Cleveland has nine receivers to score at least 10 PPR points, and Robinson should be in that range in Week 7.
